Excellent Quality and easy to assemble

I was a bit concerned ordering these stools without seeing them in person, but I am completely satisfied. They are just perfect. They are really solid and will hold a lot of weight. The fit and finish is excellent. There is even some detailed notches carved in the seat for a kind of rustic or distressed look. This is another excellent product we have bought from Overstock.

I found the EXACT stools in a local store for $40.00 less! and they were assembled....these were not assembled and when I did assemble, one leg is a hair shorter then all the other 3 legs and therefore wobbles a bit. Had it not been too difficult to return, I would have returned the item and shopped locally.

Great looking stools

The stools are great- my kids love sitting on them at the kitchen counter. They are a little high for a tall adult, but a shorter one can comfortably eat at the counter too. The frame is very solid and seems sturdy- I especially love the antiqued finish. I would highly recommend them!

love them!!!

I usually do not purchase furniture online since I like to see the quality that I am buying....but these bar stools are superior quality plus very easy to assemble. I highly recommend that if you are looking for bar stools, you give these a second look.

Best Purchase Yet

These stools are the best thing I have bough on Overstock. They were easy to assemble, stand on our hardwoods flat and don't wobble. The color is really truly black. We use them every day and when company comes over everyone sits on the stools while we're in the kitchen. The only negative thing I can say is that the screw-hole fillers (little wood dowels that fit into the holes) tend to pop out a lot--something that can easily be fixed with wood glue. GREAT BUY!

How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Color was dead on (black) beautiful redish brown "rubs" on edges give the stools a customized look

Nice looking, but parts covering screws fall out

Once you put the pieces together, I would recommend putting wood glue on the little wood covers provided for covering the screws, otherwise they constantly fall out and get lost.

Fair enough

I like the stools. Pretty easy to assemble. I imagined them looking a little more distressed, based on the other reviews I had read about these. "Distressed" really isn't a good description in my opinion. The black ones have a light rub off along the seat where a reddish stain shows through along the edges. I like it, I just expected some "restoration hardware" style distressing. I think that they are a good deal for the price. They are pretty sturdy--especially compared to your local super center options. We can't keep the little screw cover buttons in the legs, but maybe we just need to glue them in--we just want to have the option to re-tighten the screws in the future, should the legs become wobbly--which hasn't happened yet...

Please tell us about the quality of the product. I think the quality exceeds walmart (what I was going for), but maybe not tip top quality.

great quality bar stools

These bar stools are a greaat addition to our kitchen. They were easy to put together and appear to be very solid and sturdy. They have a slim footprint so tbey fit easily inder the lip of our bar-style coounter, taking up very little room, yet ample enough for my 6'5" husband to feel comfortable on. A great value for this price!
