THESE STOOLS WERE A GREAT BUY. VERY STURDY AND MUCH NICER LOOKING THAN THE ONES AT BED, BATH AND BEYOND PRICED $10 HIGHER. I ORDERED THE BLACK WHICH HAS JUST A HINT OF HAND RUBBED RED SHOWING THROUGH AROUND THE EDGE OF THE SEAT. A GREAT FIND, YOU WON'T BE SORRY!

I received these barstools approximately 1 week later than expected. Both had scratch marks on the seat, one of which is extremely noticable. I will have to paint in order to use them. I put them together without checking the top of the stools and could not take them apart to ship back. I also did not receive the 10% off discount (I used a coupon) shown at shipping.

These barstools are the perfect addition to my kitchen/breakfast room. Their rustic appearance adds just the right amount of old world charm to the kitchen island. They are comfortable and sturdy. Assembly took less than an hour for four stools. Company fights over seating now! Thanks Overstock!

Ordered these to go with our new kitchen breakfast bar and they fit perfectly without taking up too much space. The look of these stools are way better than expected and they are sturdy and feel heavy duty. The walnut is a little darker than in the picture so it matches with our colors perfectly. They are very easy to put together and doesn't require too much stress or strain before you are sitting comfortably in them. The enclosed instructions are easy to follow and they come with their own tool to put them together. Sitting in them they feel sturdy and solid with no wobble and no sign of flex in the legs or the cross braces. I feel like we got a great deal!

The stools are very nice. Overall they are just right in height, color, and stability as we hoped they would be. Assembly went better when we used our own wrenches but we could have gotten along with what was provided. I think that others would be satisfied with this product as well.

I thought the stools were a terrific value, however not sure they will last. There was a crack in the back of the top/seat.The assembly was difficult because wooden 'dollies' simply didn't fit properly in the holes. I put them together but they don't seem secure, not sure they will last. I must say when I called and mentioned that seat was cracked, I was sent a replacement immediately. I was very tempted to simply return the items entirely, but I had already put together and decided to keep. Something tells me I will be looking for new stools in a couple of months.

One reviewer complained that the black stools had a kind of red edging - when I read that, I KNEW these were the stools for me! - makes them look Asian and Zen. They look good, are comfortable, and seem very solid - no wobbliness. Would advise that you GLUE on the little covers over the screws - it's the only way to keep them in place.

These bar stools are very nice-looking and fairly easy to put together, but we could not get the wood flush, so there are some obvious gaps. And actually, my husband broke one of the foot spindles while tightening it. But overall, it's a nice stool for the price.
