    This is the 2nd AC that I received. The first one came badly damaged. Large part of the casing was broken off. I called Customer Service and a replacement was sent.     so far the unit works just great, i just checked it out to see that everything works. i cannot really tell how well it works until the weather changes to 95 degrees with 90% humidity. i am very pleased so far. best i could do compared to central air.

  • How long does the exhaust hose stretch? Are there longer ones available? I need at least 8 feet and flexibility to curve about 45 deg.

    • Hello jjeepers, the hose's maximum length is 5 feet. We do not sell longer hoses but customers have purchased additional hose from us and duct tape the two together (heat-resistant duct tape). If the hose is extended, we would suggest to avoid the 45-degree bend - if the hot air does not flow out smoothly, it will overheat the compressor. Thank you for checking with us.

  • 1. Please confirm that the window sliding kit dimensions are 5.22 feet-4.04 feet. Most ACs come with a much shorter kit and I need one that can span 55". 2. Also, can you run the kit vertically (my window slides side-to-side, not up-and-down.) 3. How far does the hose stick outside when everything is assembled? Thanks!

    • Thank you for your question ellotis. The Portable 9,000 BTU Air Conditioner comes with 3 pieces, each is 28.25 inches long. Combined together, it can go up to 80 inches. The kit can be fitted horizontally or vertically. The hose should not stick outside the window at all. The skider kit is placed against the screen (inside the house) and in between the window frames, once the hose is connected and in place, you simply slide the window close against the kit to keep it in place.   • Could the unit be used in an interior small server room if I ran the vent hose through the air return in the ceiling or under the door? I am needed a way to cool a 5x5 server room on weekends when the building air is shut down.

    • It is possible. We have many customer who purchase our AC units for use in server rooms. One thing we want to point out is water collection. This model has a water tank, once full, compressor will auto shut off. The tank is not that big, only 4 liters. The length of time it takes for the tank to become full depends on the ambient humidity. Just something for you to take into consideration.

    • The weight of the unit is around 77lbs, but there are casters if unit needs to be moved. The exhaust hose is to be connected from the back of unit to a sliding window, the purpose is to expell hot air. A sliding window kit is included for this set up.
