I chose this over the Ethan home Steward Beige loveseat because based on some of the reviews I was worried the Ethan home's color would be too light, I preferred the more rounded look of this one, and the price was better. Even though it didn't have any reviews, it was a little difficult contacting Sofab to confirm the color in the picture is beige not ivory, and the ethan loveseat seemed more reputable with lots of reviews, I thought I'd take the risk and get this one anyway. Ships in 2 boxes one slightly larger than the other one. To give you an idea of the box sizes, I wasn't able to fit the them in a 2-seater but was able to fit them into a camry with the bigger box in the trunk and smaller one in the backseat. I've never bought a couch, stuffed the pillows/cushions, and built it before so when I first opened the 2 boxes and looked at the pieces I thought I had cheaped out and that I would regret my decision. My main causes of worry were that there were a ton of visibly loose threads, a slight scratch on the fabric for one of the backrest pieces, the different parts have loose cloth meant to attach to the rest with velcro not straps or something, the stuffing for one of the seat cushions was deformed with one side jutting out sharply and the other side jutting inward at the same spot in the middle as the other side, and one wing nut was missing. Despite a bad first impression I told myself I wouldn't judge it until I had built the whole thing and I'm happy I did. Once the cushions fully decompress, you attach the loose cloth tight with the velcro, and you get the 5/8" wingnut you may or may not need give this thing a few days and I think you'll like it. The seat cushions are much firmer than the backrests. The color and material of it are very similar to khack pants. I think the length was closer to 54".
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? depending on the lighting it will look look like khacki pants at its darkest or creme at its lightest
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. good for the price, not amazing
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? pretty accurate, although I remember seeing somewhere that it doesn't include throw pillow it actually did come with matching pillows
Received item about one week after order. Assembly required. No problem there. However, I did experience two problems with hardware. I was unable to install the turn knob screws due to threads on screws were worn and would not grab or allow me to secure items properly. I moved and replaced both pieces of hardware with those that did work. Sofa and love seat are not as secure as I would like them to be at this time. I will contact help center for replacement knobs screws.
This is my first time ordering furniture online. I was a bit apprehensive since I have heard horror stories about other sites and suppliers. My experience was very positive. The sofa arrived a few days early and just as advertised; in two easy to manage boxes. The instructions were accurate and the assembly was relatively easy (between 30-40 minutes). The sofa itself is sturdy and firm (I prefer firm over soft). The color and size fit perfectly in my new apartment. The only negative is that the color in the picture doesn't match the color of the sofa. However, I knew this before buying the loveseat. Since I have other chocolate furniture I was rather secure knowing what color would be delivered. I would definitely recommend this product to friends.
I NEVER write reviews, but I am compelled to do so after spending the last 3 hours putting this hunk of junk together. VERY low quality (seriously folks, you get what you pay for) & EXTREMELY bad assembly instructions. I might end up using it as a dog bed...
The couch and love seat are great just firm until you sit on them for a few weeks. I love the fact you can take the cushions off to wash or pre treat stains...although I DO NOT however recommend the couch and love seat if you have small children. It shows EVERYTHING and the cloth is canvas material. I bought this to last a few years till we can afford an "expensive" leather set
