  • Seems like a solid product

Speedy delivery: Ordered 28 July, arrived 01 August. After only two weeks of use, I can't comment on those aspects of quality having to do with durability, parts failure, and so on. PRO: Handsome design. Brushed stainless steel coating is very attractive. Water flow is much stronger than my previous faucet. This is a heavy product. The on-line description refers to a "flexible" coil spout. This refers to the hose with the switchable nozzle on the end, not to the steel coil housing it. There's very little give in that. That's ok, because you can extend the hose 21" from the end of the coil. The end of the coil is about 5.25" into (over) my sink, so I can easily reach the entire sink without fully extending the hose. Switching from stream to spray: My previous faucet used a button covered by a thin, rubber membrane. After about seven years, my finger had worn through the membrane and the spray stopped working. This faucet uses a different switching technique. The spray head is a round, plastic disc. You grasp the disc above it and turn the spray head one way or the other. It switches the spray with a satisfying click. We'll see how long this lasts. The retractive device for the hose is a simple weight. You find the right spot on the hose underneath the sink and tighten (screw) it to the hose. It works, though you might need a few attempts to find the right spot. CON: The spray head is plastic. It has the same, brushed look as the metal parts, so it should look good until it gets scratched. The switching mechanism inside is probably also plastic, perhaps with a small spring or metal diverter. This may be the first part to fail. Don't fully extend the hose. To perform its hose-retraction function, the weight needs to be able to fall freely. If the hose is fully extended, the weight can become lodged against the water connection hoses, and you'll be groping around under the sink behind the disposer to free the weight. If you try to switch the flow with soapy fingers, you may not be able to do it. It's not difficult, but you do need to grip both parts. This could be a problem for arthritic fingers. The instruction sheet that's in the box is very poorly reproduced. Throw it away and download the one from the Ruvati web site. The brass pipes under the faucet body are not marked hot and cold. Sure, we're looking for the pipe on the left to be the hot, but once the faucet is in place, it may not be. Warranty is typical, one-year limited. No lifetime parts replacement, unlike a brand we all know. Usually the second thing to go with faucets, after the plastic and rubber gaskets and parts, is the cartridge. Ruvati doesn't offer parts on their web site.

  • This is a statement piece in your kitchen

I am having this faucet and the Ruvati SS farmhouse sink installed right now as we speak. They are both gorgeous products and very well made. All of the contractors keep commenting on what a steal I got these for on Overstock. As far as func tionality, I have not been able to sue them yet since they arent installed yet but I am sure they will just as a faucet and a sink should

  • Much better quality than expected

I am a contractor, and I purchased this item to use in a clients new kitchen. I was very surprised at the level of craftsmanship, especially since I paid about what I would have paid for something that was much lower quality. Overall, this was a great purchase and I would not hesitate to purchase again for future clients.

Product Q&A

Ask a Question

Hello. I just received this faucet today. While it is beautiful, the product details are incorrect. The spout height is not 20.5 inches but 23.5 inches. It's huge! In my kitchen, almost comically huge and will likely need to be returned. How could the product details be so off? Thanks. ljcole on Nov 13, 2013

Answer This Question

Hello faucetshopper1, The RVF1210ST has a dual function faucet head. The design is unique as it does not have any switch buttons. The faucet shifts from stream to spray by twisting the faucet head left to right and vice versa. I hope that answers your question, have a great day! overstockcustomercare1 on Jul 24, 2013
