This is a great chair! it fits perfectly in our modern home and does not take up a great deal of visual space. We don't use the leather cushion because it is not very appealing and does not match our neutral color scheme. It was easy to assemble (despite the directions) because it came in 2 pieces with 4 screws, and comes with little black rubber feet to prevent scratching the floor. The chair is comfortable for most, but not for long periods of time. My only complaint is that it's weight is not balanced because when I get out of the chair, it tilts forward slightly. I didn't buy the chair for everyday seating, so the visual appeal outweighs the minor functional mishap.

This mesh chair is truly a work of art. It's a fun piece for in the kitchen, particularly if you've got a lot of chrome and silver accents like we have, and it's also a great corner piece to have in the lounge area, study, or on the balcony. The leather pad is really comfortable, and the backwards-stretching design is definitely a talking point. I've had so many people ask about where I got this chair, and they're always astonished at the price I paid for it. It really looks as though it came from some high street designer store!

The chair arrived much sooner than I expected, which was great! It only took me about 5 minutes to put it together with 4 screws, and the tools were included. If you have had experience with putting IKEA products together, this was a no-brainer. I had a cocktail party recently, and discovered that my minimalist space needed at least one more seat in addition to my sofa and single chair. I wanted something contemporary/modern, that wouldn't clutter the space. When I saw this chair, I knew it would work. I was nervous about the feel of the chair though, if it felt substantial enough (it does). The chair is perfect, and over the weekend, I have already gotten several compliments on it. I love looking at, because it really looks architectural, and very much like a structural, yet functional piece of art. I didn't use the seat cover, not because it isn't comfortable, but because it doesn't match my furnishings. I happen to like the chair without it better. I like the exposed screws, but I am a guy. It does take some adjusting the little rubber grips on the bottom to get it level, but once you do that, the chair is stable and doesn't move. It is comfortable for a steel chair (who would think a hard surface would be more comfortable/just as comfortable as an upholstered one anyway?)...I would definitely recommend this chair to friends, but I won't...lol...I don't want to see it in their spaces, at least not yet!

We think this chair is soooo cool. We smile every time we look at it. Our kids think it is a little strange. A neighbor of mine (when I was growing up in St. Louis) had a 'diamond' chair. As kids we all wanted to sit in it, thought it was fun. Until I entered design school, I did not realize what a 'gem' our neighbors really had! Really cool looking chair - very different and unique which i love ..but not very comfortable to sit in and the pad is very cheap looking...

I have always wanted this chair the Rupert Chrome Steel Chair, it is truly a peice of art. I enjoy setting in the chair, I have it in my bedroom it looks great. This chair is for someone who would take care of it and children should not sit in it because it will tilt over if your feet is not on the ground.

This is a great alternative to the Bertoia chair that's $$$! Very easy to assemble, and pretty comfortable for being a wire chair. Not crazy about the leather pad, but I just replaced it with an Ikea fur throw - so cute and looks very expensive! Everyone who sees it thinks its the designer one!

This piece of Rupert Chrome Steel Chair with Leatherette Seat Pad is definitely one of the most modern pieces of furniture that can be found in my house. I am a person mostly with a classic taste, but now when we moved into a larger house I can afford a second living. This is how I decided to make it modern. This chair looks fabulous with its unique steel wire base and leatherette seat pad. In addition to its great look it is also comfortable. Good job.

Chair as advertised. Not well packed, but came undamaged. Is lightweight and easy to assemble.

I'm giving this 5 stars because it's what I expected. It's an adequate knock-off of the Bertoia diamond chair. To my eyes, it doesn't seem to have the same lines of the original, especially the arms. But I don't know how much of that is in my mind. Also, if you're not familiar with the diamond chair, I got this because it's stunningly graceful-looking. But keep in mind no one in my family thinks it's comfortable. Of course, when they sat in the original at a high-end store selling licensed originals, they didn't think it was that comfortable either. Lastly, the leatherette is just that - leatherette. It won't fool anybody. But at something like 1/8 the cost of the original, who cares?

I was looking for a mesh style chair for the kitchen, to match and offset our somewhat artful silver mesh fruit basket that sits on the counter. Looking on-line I found these chairs, and I instantly went bananas for them, and so did our fruit. It's the little touches; they offset each other perfectly. This a really great chair, comfortable, and sturdy!

This Rupert Chrome Steel Chair with Leatherette Seat Pad is just amazing. I have bought two from it for my extravagant and modern sister and I can say she adored them. They look great in the newly renovated dining room and fit perfectly into the bohemian atmosphere of her lifestyle. At first I thought these chairs cannot be comfortable, but surprisingly they are. And the price was also great.

Considering the fact that you can find the same chair in other websites for 3 times that much...Its an awsome buy...Looks really good in my family room with a white lether cough Doesnt take any visual space....Not the most comfortable chair in universe, but still really nice!!!

Bought two of these chairs about a month ago. I'm VERY happy with them. My friends were surprised that they weren't just beautiful, but comfy too. They are a wonderful addition to my modern livingroom. The only "negative" would be that when putting this together, the screw caps didn't quite cover the screws effectively and I'll need to buy new caps or have the screws exposed.

Steel chairs can be uncomfortable but the leatherette pad on this one?s seat makes it quite comfortable to sit in for extended periods of time. This is a great living room chair with a great appearance.
