"Never mind the quality, feel the width"
On the plus side, we can all agree, this table is big. It comfortably seats 10 - 12, probably more if you use regular size chairs. We bought 8 folding chairs, with arms - the matching Tahiti Saragossa. They are comfortable, but quite wide. On the minus side, the quality of the wood is very very disappointing. Event though I oiled the wood and the table does not sit in bright sunlight all day, within 4 weeks much of the elements were beginning to split. Several of the individual slats were beginning to warp, and the table was becoming discolored. Four months later, and this table does not look anything like something that was purchased new this season. I would have considered sending it back for a refund, but the shipping costs would be high - it is too big to travel by regular transport. And, I have not seen any other table as big. Overall, I am ambivalent about the purchase. There was another issue concerning delivery - the shipping firm did not initiate contact with me to arrange shipping to my house, and even when I tried phoning them, it took several calls to schedule the delivery. Also, one part of the table in the box was incorrect but Overstock very promptly shipped a replacement as soon as I informed them. It was inconvenient not to have the table for a particular weekend party we had arranged, but if it had been really important that a complete working table would have arrived, I guess that I shouldn't have delayed ordering it until the last minute.

Royal Tahiti Table
I was thrilled to set up the table as it is the perfect size and stores it's own leaves BUT IT IS Cracking! The wood is splintering and has cracked and is peeling....after only one month!

BEST TABLE EVER SOLD!!!!
This is the best table I seen in a long time. The price was perfect. The table is real wood not partical boards. Needed to be stained was not liking the color. Love the table how it lets use the leafs can be one at a time or both or none. It can fit without leafs a seating of 8, one leaf puts to 10- 12 if children included, second leaf to 16-20 with children but we use folding chairs instead of the wooden chairs that can be purchaes separate. Folding chairs are worked great and padded for comfort. Love my table been looking for about 10+ yrs for the right one and I would not trade it back for anything better. Also ordering was great, delivery was on time, well packed for shipping, freight delivery right to house. Customer svc dept were great too.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. if there was a 150% I would rated it that. I love my table and it can hold more than 16 actually comfortable. We had a picnic for christmas eve and everyone got to sit at the same table together.

Nicely designed table
Nicely designed table. The fold down inserts are great. Assembly was straight forward, but the table is heavy. The finish on the table was ok but rather dull. I put a couple of coats of teak oil and the finish really looks good. One support piece was split, but Overstock sent a replacement without any questions.
