Royal Tahiti Folding Bar Chair with Arms and Footrest

Bought the matching bar and a chair for my husband for Father's Day. Hopefully the bar, which arrives Friday will be in better shape. Opened the box, stepped up in the chair and heard the arm make a cracking noise. The slats in the chair are loose and it does not seem sturdy. I am sending it back. I always read reviews before I order and only one said the chair was not sturdy. May be a fluke that mine was not studey either, but it is going back.

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. I was so disappointed. I purchased the bar, which arrives Friday as a Father's Day gift. The chair cracked when I sat in it and it does not seem sturdy.

Very pleased so far with the chair. No assembly was great!

We bought four chairs and within two weeks two of them have come apart (seat slats pull out). I'm not sure if its from the heat of the outside but this are outdoor chairs. It doesn't look like it was glued properly. The chair by design puts a lot of pressure on the rear of the seat and the just pulled apart. We haven't used them more than 10 times and half of them are broken. I'm going to try to glue and clamp them but I really should have to with a new piece of furniture, should I?

Bought two for a small balcony with a great view so I can enjoy the outdoors and spectacular scenery. The chairs are comfortable even without cushions! Only negative is that, although they are "fold-up" chairs, they do not fold up easily and could potentially be finger pinchers if you aren't careful. Storage when folded up may be a problem if you don't have adequate space. Otherwise, nice wood, sturdy clever design and warm color.
