I was looking for a small buffet that was low enough to fit under a window for the dining room, to store my china. I did not want to assemble anything, and this came fully assembled. This was the perfect solution. It was delivered in a very large box within a week. The outer box was pretty beat up but there was another box inside, surrounded by about 10 lbs of styrofoam peanuts. The hardest part was getting it out of the boxes with all the peanuts flying around. The coloring of the cabinet was exactly what I wanted, a golden caramel. The finish is waxy. This is not a finely made piece of cabinetry, with dove-tail joinery. It is very rustic and the joinery is not always flush. There is a little gap around top of the front cabinet doors which bothered me at first glance but not so much now. There is one fixed shelf inside that is a little rough to touch and could have used a bit more sanding. I spent months considering different kinds and styles of cabinets before I settled on this. If you want something exotic, that looks handmade, of a rustic quality then this would meet the criteria. Overstock had this same cabinet as other Asian export sites for at least 30% less. This is a steal.
