Ironing a breeze
from Butte, Montana,  Jul 16, 2010

Nice product operates well and makes ironing easier. Lots of steam power and spray option. Heavy enough to be effective but not hard to handle. The retracting cord improves storage, but use a gentle hand to allow the cord to fully retract. Needs regular refilling when using high steam settings. Definitely a good price for a nice product. HOWEVER..... this iron was manufactured in China, not Germany, so don't be fooled there. I'm happy with the iron but don't normally buy Chinese made products. Other online reviews suggest a decline in quality with the change in manufacturing location. Overstock.com....please list country of origin with products.

LOVE IT!!!
from Enola, PA,  Dec 16, 2009

I debated on spending the money on this iron but sure am glad I did...I LOVE IT! Cuts ironing time in half and ALMOST makes ironing enjoyable...I did say ALMOST...I didn't think there was a difference in irons but I was very wrong!

OOps!
from Upstate, South Carolina,  May 4, 2010

After using this IRON just twice, it quit working. So I patiently await it's replacement from Overstock.com, I hope that this was just a isolated incident so I won't give it a poor raiting this time. Average will be sufficient.

No wrinkles from this buy!
from South Central Wisconsin,  Apr 5, 2010

I'm very happy with this iron. I have to go business formal for my job so do a considerable amount of ironing. I've gotten by with a department store special until now but have wanted to get a serious iron for some time. When I saw this iron for nearly 50% its retail I jumped. It irons amazingly well and doesn't seem as hard on the fabrics as my old iron. Stainless steel surface heats quickly and stays evenly hot. Spray and steam are superb and even. No complaints. I have no trouble with the cord retraction as some buyers have. I think the key is to control the cord as it retracts--don't just let it slam into the appliance but guide it in smoothly. The only thing I'd change is it takes quite a long time to cool down once off and unplugged so be careful with little ones and pets and don't pack away too quickly.

The iron is a dream to use, able to complete pressing clothes in a timely manner. Having the power cord rewind is also a good feature.

Great Iron
 Mar 26, 2010

This is one great iron. I love the weight of it, as it speaks to the quality. The cord conveniently goes back up inside for a clean look (and great storage). THe steam is fantastic and the overall funtion is great.

Rowenta iron
from St. Louis, Mo.,  Nov 23, 2009

This iron is a great iron. smooth yet powerful to get the job done right. Make your clothes look a pro pressed them. I had a few irons that were good but this ones the best so far. Built strong and durable seems to be here for the long haul. If you buy a iron this is the one.

Rowenta Airglide
from Kewaqnee, IL,  Nov 4, 2009

This iron really does glide across fabric of any kind. I am a woman who loves to iron and irons everything, including my jeans and my sheets. The Rowenta Airglide is very easy to fill, very easy to use, and handles like a dream.. The only negative, and it's very minor in my book is that the cord reel does not seem to work very well. But that is not a big deal to me. I would rather have an iron that is easy to use than one that automatically rewinds the cord. I would purchase this iron again.

problems reelin' it in
from Las Vegas, NV,  Oct 28, 2009

An iron it is... The reeling cord feature is flawed and can be frustrating when the iron is cooled and you want to hide the cord.Truly, beebsterlv

Cord Retraction
 from az,  Oct 9, 2009

The iron works fine. It would have been nice if the first time I used the iron the power cord would have retracted as described. As the power cord retraction feature wasn't why I purchased the iron I kept it, however, if this is important to you....

Effective
from Elmira NY,  Sep 18, 2009

After living with an iron that would not take the wrinkles out of clothes, I finally gave in and bought this Rowenta. The price on this model was great, as it was reconditioned. It is easy to use. The cord reel is a great feature. The iron has great ironing power. It really gets out the wrinkles, which was the main thing I wanted to accomplish! The only things I don't love about this iron is its weight, which is heavy, and the fact there is no on/off switch on the iron. The way you turn it off is to unplug it. However, it will turn off after 8 minutes of nonuse, but a light blinks once that happens. This is fine for me, because I can remember to unplug it, but my husband and sons cannot seem to do it. Luckily, the blinking light alerts me that it is plugged in, even if it hasn't been used in awhile and it is cold.

Easy Iron!
from Wellsboro PA,  Aug 23, 2009

This Rowenta steam iron is nimble, yet gets the job done with minimum effort. It glides on its stainless steel bottom without any friction, does a great job with ample steam on even difficult fabrics. And the price is reasonable! I would recommend it without any reservation.

Love it
from Dalton, GA,  Jul 28, 2009

This is my second Rowenta, and I was so glad you had one. It is massive compared to my old one, but I am pleased with it so far. If it lasts as long as my last one, over ten years before it was dropped, then I'll be a happy man.
