I am very satisfied with this bed except for one thing. I wish the headboard was at least ten inches higher. I have a thick mattress and a lot of the headboard's scroll work design is lost because the high mattress hides it. For someone who has a less thick mattress, though, the headboard would be just right. This bed sits fairly low to the floor. Because of this, most storage boxes and other ittems won't slide beneath it. This might be important for someone to know if they are accustomed to storing "things" under their bed. The bed's color is brown with a copperish glow. I'm very pleased with the bed's sturdiness. It doesn't wobble as some metal beds do!
This is a really nice bed. Perfect for my bedroom. At one point, I thought of replacing my mattress, but it wasn't until I assembled the bed with FIVE SLATS across that it uplifted my mattress. My old bed had only one slat in the middle, the mattress eventually started to lose shape, but when I replaced the bed frame, it was the bed frame that was no good. My mattress was like new all over again. Very happy with this bed, and it's strong and has enough space at the foot so you can put the end of your comforter, blanket and a bedspread when making up the bed. It's neat.
I bought this bed because I have never had a bed with a headboard and footboard before and it is so beautiful and reasonably priced too! I put it together all by myself as I am single and did not have the patience to wait for someone to help me. I did it in an hour and a half and the directions were good. Not too hard :) Of course, if you have someone to help you, it will go faster but good to know it can be done alone if needed. It is very sturdy and beautiful. I love the detail of the curved bars.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Great!
Please tell us about the quality of the product. Well made
How accurate was the on site description of the product? very
I absolutely love this bed. I bought one for my daughter this summer and I am very impressed. So much so that I am ordering one for my older daughter too!!! This bed is very easy to assemble, very pretty, and very sturdy. I love this bed!!!!!!!!!
This bed is simply beautiful, which is why despite it's cheap, thin aluminum frame that broke within two months I decided to keep the bed rather than go through the laborious return process. A lot of buyers were thrilled with this bed but a lot us have run into issues.
The frame is approximately 3 inches too wide for any queen bed so the box spring slides around on the frame and makes the use of a bedskirt impossible. Because of the error in size the head board and foot board will not work with a regular bed frame (that goes under the box spring) so you are forced to use the frame that comes with it.
While the head and foot boards are made out of a beautiful hammered steel or iron, the support frame is made of a thin cheap aluminum that has four center support poles held together with one screw for each pole. The bed posts slide on hardwood very easily but the center poles do not. So as your bed is sliding across your floor as you get in and out of it the center poles are not sliding but are bending where they screw to the crossbars. This makes the cheap aluminum crossbars bow and my four thousand dollar mattress and box spring dip in the middle.
I am a stubborn woman however, and decided that I was going to make my beautiful bed work. My solution was to first put L brackets on either side of the four center support poles and use the round hose clamps to hold them in place so the poles dont bend anymore. Then I put felt pads under the poles so they would slide if they needed to. Then I put nonslip pads under the bed posts so the bed would stop sliding around.
The fit kit as I call it cost me about $16.36 total: $5.74 for the 8 L brackets, $5.89 for all 12 hose clamps, $3.73 for the non slip pads and $1 for the felt pads. As for the boxspring sliding around on the frame I haven't thought of a solution for that yet. Styrofoam blocks perhaps.
I say all this to hopefully help another stubborn person that really wants this bed to work. But if you're on the fence between this bed and another I'd advise you to pick the other one. Good luck!
Easy to put together. Sturdy- we've had it for several months in our guest bedroom & it's been slept in quite a bit- so far it's held up just great. I would highly recommend this bed- especially for this price. On top of that- it's beautiful! No complaints here.
The only issue I had after getting this bed together was that it is somewhat un-sturdy. I even had my husband check the bolts and make sure that it was all tight and still wobbly. It serves it's purpose though.
I bought this product in 2005 when I decided to upgrade to a Queen mattress. I am still using this bed and it's almost 10 years. I have dragged, dropped, moved, taken apart, put back together, and moved across country with this bed. It has held up over time and abuse. This bed does not creak, shake, move, or bend. The finish has not worn out and looks as good as the day I bought it.

Hello, If I wanted to get a memory foam mattress that is 11-inchs how high should my box spring sit? Do overstock sell box springs for a low price?1turner on Feb 13, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for shopping with us 1turner. The bottom of the side rail is 9 inches from the bottom of the headboard. I measured the holes so these are approximate. The head board is approximately 25 inches higher. I think a box spring that is 5-6 inches high will leave enough or the headboard exposed. We sell mattress sets but not just box springs. Have a great day.overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 20, 2014
Thank you for inquiring about the Rosette Queen-size Bed. YOu can put up the bed without the footboard. Thank you for shopping with us.overstockcustomercare1 on Jan 15, 2014
I don't recommend it. It's not sturdy without the footboard, since the footboard includes the legs. You could just have the headboard, sideboards, and center support, but then the sideboards would stick out. I'd be afraid of hurting myself on them, since the bed is longer than a queen mattress. Don't use it without the footboard.taylor8989 on Jan 17, 2014
Hello, cjd55555. Hope your day is going well. A box spring is recommended instead of a slatted bed base. Thank you for shopping with us and please feel free to contact us again with any further questions.

I don't think so. The bed would be too low for the headboard and foot board.kathleennj on Sep 11, 2013
I have an adjustable queen bed. Can this frame be used without the cross bars. I guess I mean just the side rails would be sufficient. Is that an option?pattioreocookie on Jul 20, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question

Fairly easy, I did it by myself and I am a girlie girl!!shoppinggal10 on May 30, 2013
I have assembled and disassembled the bed 3 times because I have moved. I had no problems with the assembly or moving. I am disabled with major back problems. Even with this challenge, I was able to assemble/disassemble, albeit, slowly and with lots of breaks due to having to bend down.sms1024 on Jun 3, 2013

I need replacement frame pieces that connect the headboard to the footboard. Are they available separate? Or do you have manufacturer info that I could get in touch with them.anwalker on Mar 15, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
We do not sell replacement parts nor are they separate. However, we will have someone from our Customer Care Department contact you to see if we might be able to help you. overstockcustomercare1 on Mar 18, 2013
When I originally saw this bed I think the description said that the frame had 5 slats; I can see reviewers referring to the 5 slats, but it is no longer in the description. Does the bed still have 5 slats?moa14 on Jul 6, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
