Color is "gold leaf" not butter
I have not had a chance to use this cloth as yet, because I use it on my dining room table which is extremely large and I only use it for large family gatherings. That being said, I was happy to find a cloth this size as I could not find one in my local stores. The color is not my first choice but it was the only one left so I took it. It will be great for Christmas as it is kinda "showy."

Spill Proof "Butter" tablecloth
Really a gold not a butter color but it's pretty so I'll keep it and use it for Christmas.

Impressed!
Looking to refresh my Thanksgiving tablescape, I sought a tablecloth that worked well with my china pattern and was classy-looking but not too formal. The Rosedale tablecloth in Butter looked great on the site but was even more impressive in person. The color was a perfect golden color, but not a tacky, bright gold, which not only went well with my china (white with gold trim) but will also be very versatile for other holidays and events. It's textured with a slight herringbone pattern, giving a bit of interest without clashing with the table runner and napkins. Though it isn't as thick as some of my other table linens, it was opaque enough to prevent the table from peeking through. It lived up to its "spill-proof" promise, as beverages from our feast beaded up and wiped off with not a single stain. Several of my guests commented that it must be a magical tablecloth! I still can't believe that I found the perfect tablecloth for my needs, especially at more than half off what I was finding at discount stores!

Very nice and elegant
I ordered the "butter" color, but in reality is more like gold than yellow (as butter). I was surprised, but I love it!! It has a lovely sheen to it and looks very fancy. It goes very well with my gold plated silverware. I wanted this tablecloth because it is spill proof but in addition, I like the way it looks and feels. Best of all, the color lends itself to many occasions: Christmas, anniversaries, Thanksgiving, fancy dinners, etc., you know, gold goes with everything!
