The description of the frame was inaccurate, as it appears to be painted black with a glaze finish to give the apperance of dark wood. On the website the picture presents as "mahogony" and looks as though it is a genuine dark cherry wood frame. However, the colors of the picture, and the texture and finish of the picture are beautiful. We have a merlot crib set in our baby room, and hope that the black appearance of the frame will lighten if we put the picture in an area that will receive sunlight. We also hope that the color of the frame will coordinate with the dark wood or we will be forced to return it. We love the picture itself.

The frame arrived and is questionably painted black or appears dark mocha. It is difficult to differentiate if the frame is black or very very dark wood.
