this piece is a find
The curved, bowed design of the Romy Bycast Brown Leather Modern Sofa is what first caught my eye. But what caught my eye next was the price. Reminiscent of Art Deco design, this couch has added such a beautiful level of austere elegance to my home that I just can’t believe that it costs less than a grand. Solidly constructed, with high quality leather upholstery, this piece is a find.

Great deal
This sofa is amazing. It is elegant and with the unique curves and liens, it is giving a great look for my living. The frame is solid, but the seating is so dense with foam cushioning. It is the best seating for my family and our visitors, and everyone likes it. I love the color of the sofa, matching with every piece of furniture in the room. At first sight I thought it would be small, but it is not, in addition, looks better than in the picture.

What's not to like?
What’s not to like about the Romy Bycast Brown Leather Modern Sofa? Certainly not the curvy beauteousness of the shape, endearing itself to you in layers of supplenees and glamour. Certainly not the high density foam cushioning that accepts you in comfortably into its grace and good-natured firmness, tough yet yielding. Certainly not the high level of craftsmanship that is readily apparent to even the most untrained eye. No, it is not any of these things. In fact, there is nothing not to like about it. And if there is, I certainly haven’t found it yet.

Excellent!
This couch is comfy, and dresses up our living room nicely. I love the way the cushions are cut into the seat - no slipping out or looking uneven. A great piece of furniture, especially for the price. To get the cushy arms I wanted would have cost twice as much, at least. Also, most other couches in this price range required assembly - this came fully assembled. And it is beautiful leather.

Arrived in only one week in great condition. Looks great. It's not to lay on it for hours since it's a little hard. I like that the cushions are sawed in and they don't slip. Overall a good product.

An Art Deco-type Look
We love this sofa!! Its unique style attracted me, and believe that I had done my homework all over the internet looking for a replacement for a beloved old leather sofa we had had for over 20 years. I had no idea what "bycast" leather was prior to this, but I knew that I did not want a faux leather or vinyl material. I was able to look up bycast leather elsewhere on the internet and find out that it is real leather, but covered with a polyurethane coating. This coating does cause a chemical odor when the sofa is delivered and unwrapped. (Extremely well-packaged in bubble wrap, and the delivery men called a day in advance and even gave me another call when they were 30 minutes from my house) They removed my old leather sofa and placed the new one where I wanted it, but I do have a single story home. (I have received deliveries in the past from other companies that refused to bring the item past the front porch, so I was grateful.) The sofa is very firm, yet comfortable. The cushions are not removeable. The odor is gone now and we have had this sofa for 2 months. Cleanup is a damp rag and brush the lint off the crevices. We have a cat and a dog, so I bought a cover to protect the arms, seats and top of the back from them (my cat was jumping up to arms and grabbing with her claws, then wanting to walk along the top of the back), but I can remove the cover if guests are coming. The $2.95 shipping is essentially free, and the price of the sofa was remarkable anyway. I will check on Overstock.com for all my furniture needs in the future, because the shipping costs add so much to furniture bought on any other site.

So far, so good.
Just got the couch and it's looks a little darker than you see on the web. Other than that, it looks exactly as it did. I always feel some buyer's remorse and this sofa is not exception. For the size of the piece, and being bycast leather I think it could have been priced cheaper. The cushions are very firm which is good for me, not so good for my wife. We'll see how the foam "break in".

Not Terrible
This is nice couch. It looks stylish, but it's not very comfortable. If you're looking for something you're going to use everyday, move on. If this is something for an office or a den, it might be the right couch for you.

Durable and comfortable
This sofa is comfortable and looks nice. It's not too hard but it is firm. It seems like it will be durable for a long time. It looks more like vinyl than leather. There was a very strong chemical smell that took over a month to dissapate. It did eventually go away, but, initially, it was very strong. Beware - the shipping company would not take the sofa upstairs. The shipping company told me that they would just leave it outside on the landing. We live in an upstairs condo. I had to pay the same shipping company over *** to take it up the stairs. They called it their white glove service. In addition, Overstock paid the shipping company an extra *** for this service. Overstock rep was very helpful, but it took an extra two weeks and *** just to take sofa up eleven steps. All in all, we are pleased with the sofa. Pet friendly and wipes up easily.
