Award winning artist, Roderick E. Stevens was handed his first set of oils at the age of seven and his love for painting was promptly born. Initially his works followed a more abstract expression. In high school, he began exploring realism, and simultaneously discovered acrylics which seemed to better accommodate his nature at the time. Since then he has worked primarily in acrylics on Masonite and canvas. Roderick has been honored to receive several awards, and been invited to show at the highly prestigious 'Coda Gallery' in Palm Desert, California. He was recently commissioned to paint one of the marble horse sculptures for the 'Trail of the Painted Ponies' project. Meanwhile, his work can be found in several galleries, shops and displays in Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Tucson, Scottsdale, Carefree, Prescott, Sierra Vista, and at the '55 Main Gallery' in Bisbee.

Not exactly black
Although the title and description says Black Pear, it is not black. The only part of the pear that is black is the very bottom then turns into a brown/maroon fig color for the majority of the pear.The description picture reflects all black. The print is crooked on the canvas also so, I will have to take to a frame shop to mount instead of matting and framing myself. I was so excited when I ordered this and couldn't wait to hang it in my kitchen as I only bought it for decoration purposes. I was deeply disappointed when I took it out of the tube and saw the creased edges and horrible color.

a lemon not a pear
very disappointed with what i got. it looks like an out of focus photo. it is not framed. it is not good at all

no depth
Description is not correct when it states a depth of 2". You have to create the depth by framing it yourself. It comes rolled up in a tube..... Not what I was thinking it would be at all.
