Got this for my son and within one day, the scabbard decoration had fallen off. I really didn't want the hassle of returning it and he absolutely loved it, so a bit of super glue took care of the problem. However, i was disappointed that it was defective and so early on after receiving it. Other than that quick fix, it is very nice looking, he was just thrilled with the sword and it was a lot cheaper than other swords I'd looked at for him. The shine was great on the blade itself; the blue gem is real nice (don't know if it's glass or not) and the detail is nice. The edge of the sword is not honed as with a 'real' sword or knife, buy the blade could definitely damage someone if one was trying. So, sits on my son's wall and he takes it down to admire it a bit. It was a good buy with the exception of the repair job that was needed.
