I purchased this item as a gift. The quality is not really good. It looks much nicer in the picture online. Probably a low-grade stainless. I prefer a better quality pan.

Just what I was looking for. Super deep and just right for multiple layers of whatever you're making.

I got this as a gift. So I did not get to use it - but I did look at the roasting pan and it seems quality.

I needed a stainless steel roaster wiith a stainlees steel rack for oven roasting small to medium cuts of meat (3 to 5 pounds). This pan is for a vacation house so it didn't have to be the best, since it would see limited use. When I checked around I found great pans at great prices. Overstock had the pan at the price I wanted to pay. I read the reviews and knew what I would be getting. The bottom line is that the roasting pan works for what I needed it to do in this limited situation, and is a good buy for the dollars spent.

I wanted a new roasting pan for the turkey - and it was perfectly shaped. It's wider than the one I had. So the proportion was good (had a 12 pound turkey). I used a different rack though as the one that same is very thin and low. (Could not put vegetables in pan with bird). The material is thinner than anticipated, but did not seem to be an issue when baking for 4 hours. You can't beat the price. Not sure how it would hold up with a "huge" Lasagne which is what it supposedly made for. All in all it suited my purpose well. I gave it good because of the price but because of thinnest of the material, not sure how many years it will last (other pans with thicker bottoms, sell for 3-4 as much).

This is a basic, straightforward roasting pan. It has high sides, sturdy handles, and can go on the stovetop. It is a little lighter than ideal, but excellent value.

This pan is a great pan . The dimensions listed are not accurate as this pan is deeper than described. That is definitely a big plus! Glad I bought it.

Great pan, built well - the rack sits just right inside for roasting, baking, broiling. The handles are great - they are well built and work well. I am very pleased with this roasting pan!

the set is nice and I will be using it a lot. It is very deep and will hold a large amount. Can't attest to the clean up yet.

I saw this roasting pan online and figured I'd give it a whirl... I am glad I did ! I roasted a large chicken ( could have done two and will from now on!) with a large batch of red potatoes alongside ... Came out wonderful! I love that there is a plastic lid and a very adequate flat stainless spatula ..as I write this, I am roasting a large amount of vegetables to have on hand- eggplant, red peppers, red onions as well as a few heads of garlic for good measure.. So far, so great! Easy to clean, love the included rack as well! Buy and try, you will agree.. Great pan, fantastic price!

Previous reviewer is correct, this pan IS 4" deep. It is also wider than stated. These are the correct dimensions taken from the box. 14-1/2 x 10-3/8 x 4. I can't attest to how easy it is to clean because I haven't cooked in it yet but have thrown it in the dishwasher before putting it in my cupboard and it came out good. The stainless appears to be a good quality and the pan appears to be thick enough to do a good job. It looks like it will be a good size to do a nice roast, or a pan of stuffed peppers or stuffed cabbage in ... as well as a nice pan for lasagna. I think it is a good value and that I will be very pleased with it when I cook in it.

The quality of the pan itself is very good. The pan comes with 2 different type of rack. One is a wire rack and it is very small and sit low on the bottom of the pan. This rack does not hang on the top like most racks. It is good for roasting a whole chicken but not for me to roast fish because the space is too small on the rack. I wanted a stainless steel rack that hang on top so I can roast fishes. The other rack that came with this item is a flat metal rack that hang on the top of the pan. I have never us this type of rack before but it would be good for vegetable and other small items so it would not fall off into the bottom. I am keeping this item because it is not worth the trouble to send it back. I just need to find a stainless steel rack that would fit this pan.

Initially i was very disappointed when I unboxed this tray; however when I recalled what I paid for it the quality is on par with other products. The wire rack is very thin wire and will not support much weight. The pan itself is light and I doubt it will last years. Again, for the price I may even buy another.
A roasting pan is a large pan, often with a lid, that is used to roast meats in the oven. The pan can be made of stainless steel, aluminum or other metals and have enamel or nonstick coatings. Roasting pans are available in a variety of sizes to suit different types of roasting. The key to properly using a roasting pan is to leave at least 2 inches of air space around the meat that you are roasting.
Broiling pans and roasting pans both have specific uses. While there are many similarities between broiling pans and roasting pans, they each specialize in different areas. Roasting pans are normally used to prepare larger cuts of meat because of the deeper shape, which allows the meat to cook in its own juices. Broilers have a shallow, slotted base. The shallow sides of the broiler allow the food to cook more quickly while the slotted bottom of the broiler allows drippings to drain into a pan underneath.
