I purchased this for my daughter's room. She has a very small closet, and we thought it would be a great way to have shelf storage on the lower half for toys while keeping her clothes out of the way. First of all, the instructions were inadequate. The poles didn't screw together perfectly, but we did get it looking right anyway. However, the rod is extremely difficult to pull down, even as an adult, so she will never be able to get at her clothes herself. I'm a bit disappointed in this purchase, I have to say.

We have purchased four of these. They work great and if you are handy easy to install. One of the last two we purchased had a cracked t in the pull down. I contacter the manufacturer in Brizil via e mail and they were great to deal with sent them an e mail picture of the broken part and they sent me 4 new ones.

This product allowed us to make use of all the upper space in our closets; we now have two bars for hangers instead of just one. It was simple to install and works perfectly. When you push it back up, it gently glides back into the upright position. We've only had it a few weeks, but it has a durable feel to it.
