Reno Queen Futon Sleigh Arm Frame/ Premier Mattress Futon Set

I assembled the futon frame by myself, and it took me about 7 hours. To put this in context, I have a Master's degree in a form of mechanical engineering, and I'm very good at assembling furniture (it never takes me as long as the instructions indicate.)The instructions are terrible. Not just confusing, but often downright incorrect. I'm comfortable with deciding on my own that my "fixes" are structurally sound, but other people may not be. Also, the hinges are labeled "Left" and "Right", and the instructions indicate that putting the hinges in the wrong place will prevent the futon from working. The hinges were incorrectly labeled, so the "Left" labeled hinge is on the right side of the couch. Some of the bolts are too short to assemble the item with the washers in place or in place in the order listed on the instructions. Also, the hex heads of the bolts strip very easily, even though I used the provided hex wrench. The "extra support rods" don't fit into the predrilled holes (they're too short to extend from the seat to the back.) The tolerances on the parts aren't great, and I had to manhandle things into place on several occasions. And, after triple-checking my assembly, I'm left with a disturbing amount of leftover hardware. Which I suppose is better than having too few, but still. All of this leaves me with serious questions about the long-term durability of the frame.All that being said, the furniture (once assembled) is exactly what I wanted for my man cave. It's also surprisingly comfortable in both the couch and bed configurations. The mechanism is very easy to manipulate. It's not a high end look (all black metal tubing and some exposed screws), but who wants a high end look in a man cave? I envision many happy hours of football watching and Wii playing on the futon. If it holds up.
