The measurements are a bit misleading. The bench seat itself is only 17" deep when assembled, and 42" long. The curved arms extend the overall length to 52". Assembled, it is a small piece. Sturdy and looks good. I am not thrilled about the cheap black plastic caps for the screw holes. They go underneath the bench, and aren't very visible from the top because the black blends in, but they're chintzy. On mine a couple of the holes were drilled too large for the caps to fit, and now the screws can be seen from above. The instructions are not much help. Things might have gone faster if I hadn't tried to follow them; sit down on your own and think logically about what steps to follow and in what order, or the dowel assembly won't work out and you'll find yourself removing bolts a few times. Attractive, nice size for smaller living spaces, but I would not buy it again at this price.

I was disapointed in the quality and appearance of this setee. The screw holes did not align properly so the back of the seat doesn't fit flush with the sides. At this price better quality and craftsmanship is expected.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL AND COMFORTABLE SETTEE. IT FITS PERFECTLY IN OUR ELEGANT, YET SIMPLE, LIVING ROOM, NOT TAKING UP TOO MUCH ROOM AND COMPLIMENTING OUR GRAND PIANO.

The first bench that was sent to us had to be returned because when everything was tightened it was not level at all and wobbled horribly. Overstock took care of shipping and sent us another bench. The second bench we got we had no such problem and I really think it's gorgeous. It's lovely in our entryway and I'm very pleased with it. Seems heavy and sturdy and was easy for my hubby to put together by himself.

I bought this piece for a small space and additional seating. We were impressed by the heaviness and quality -- it's well made and with two people, was pretty easy to assemble. It looks like something you would find at one of the high end furniture stores (and the price point there would be at least double!) It looks adorable with a few toss pillows -- I used linen like ones from this site that had a French flair and it worked well. I am looking for a cushion for the bottom that would add a bit of padding. Again, I am a huge fan but this is not a piece that you would sit on for hours. As an accent piece, it is really great.

This bench is just gorgeous! It is a real standout. The quality and craftmanship are superb. assembly is pretty simple but you do need two people beacuse the pieces are a little heavy. I shopped this piece on-line and Overstock was the best price for both the product and delivery. It arrived quickly and I couldn't be happier!

I received this product without any missing parts, defects, or damage. Also, the Settee is a lot heavier than expected, which is a credit to its quality. In my opinion, it was a great purchase.

This seat is perfect! Stylish, comfy, easy to put together and most importantly the quality is so fAbUlOuS....I assembled it by-my-self, although I did NOT use the goofy tool that came with it. I used my hubbys power screw driver and assembly went great. One hole did not match up well, but with a little MuScLe power and perseverance, the seat came out gReAt!! If you lOvE the picture you will LuRvE the for-real product!

We purchased this bench for our kitchen entry area. It looks great. I was going to make a cushion for it but the seat is too pretty to cover. We love the slats on the seat. It looks great near the schoolhouse chairs we purchased also at Overstock. We would encourage others to purchase this product.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Remington Antiqued Settee. The styling, quality and look are very impressive. The furniture shipped timely and was delivered in perfect condition. I would recommend this product.

This is a lovely settee. It is fairly comfortable, too. My only complaint was the assembly. Some holes did not match, and it really needed 2 people to assemble it quickly. I managed alone, but it took 3 tiimes as long as it should have. The directions were pictures, not written, and were not clearly illustrated. This is a beautiful piece, but the manufacturer needs to improve the assembly directions and double-check the position of holes.

I love the settee. It was pretty easy to assemble. I have it in a sun room and it is the perfect size. A friend is thinking of ordering it. Good price.

This bench is an excellent value for the money (i originally found it for almost twice as much on a different website). it is a very sturdy piece of furniture and assembly took about 30 minutes. it looks great in my foyer.
