I order two sets of the 16 piece Red Vanilla Dining Set. It was guaranteed to be here by Thanksgiving. My packages arrived the Saturday, before Thanksgiving. I carried in the first box, and went out for the second box. While carrying in the second box I heard rattling, and said to myself, "That doesn't sound good", and it wasn't. Three of the cups were broken. I called Overstock ASAP, and the assistant asked, "If anything else was broken?" So, she waited while I went through the two boxes, and nothing else was broken. I was told shipping is closed for the weekend, and to call back on Monday...which I did. After receiving an email letting me know my two cups were on order, I had to call back and say it was three cups...not two. This was Monday before Thanksgiving. My shipment was'nt shipped as of yet. Well to my surprise my three cups were delivered on Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Now, if that's not service....I don't know what is. I'm very please with my dinner ware. The plates looked so pretty on the table. They have a simple elegance to them. If fact, when I was offer help with the dishes, I said, "No thanks". Thank you Overstock.com for coming through. I shopped numerous websites and viewed dozens of dinnerware sets before choosing these, and I'm very happy with my choice. I love the color - not stark white, but a warm ivory. Nice tall cups - they hold up to 12 ounces! Very elegant-looking but practical for everyday use as well. And best of all is the price - you really cannot beat the value. I wanted some nice new dinnerware to serve up to 10 people, and with most other popular brands it would have cost me $500 or more! I ordered three boxes of these and there was not one broken or damaged item in the whole lot.

Super happy with this purchase. I have been looking for some time now for the "perfect" set of dishes and I have finally found them! Love the simplicity, weight and feel of these. I bought two of the Red Vanilla Classic White dining sets in order to have a matching setting for 8 people for holidays. It is good quality, somewhat light-weight but sturdy. The color is an off-white, which I really like. It goes with everything. I didn't want stark white. I am very pleased with this purchase. And I like the style of coffee cups and shallow bowls. It goes well with my everyday china. I would recommend this set. I received the china very shortly after order, and was able to use it for this past Thanksgiving.

I ordered two sets of these dishes. I find the weight, finish, design and soft white color to be very functional and makes for an attractive table setting. The price was resonable as well. A couple of pieces arrived broken but were quickly replaced upon notification to Overstock. i love, love, love this dinnerware. had been looking in stores and on websites for a couple of weeks, when i remembered overstock. it took me exactly 5 minutes on the site to find exactly what i had been looking for. i could not be more pleased with these dishes. they are beautiful, simple, color is perfect, and they wear beautifully. i immediately added more bowls to my set, and will use these dishes forever.

The dishes are beautiful. They are not a stark white which is what I wanted. I was replacing a set I had from Pfaltzgraff for 20 years. The only think I noticed was that the Pfaltzgraff dishes were a little heavier. Other than that, they are very nice. Love the bowls!! and the plates are large.

After much looking for practical yet beautiful everyday dishes, these were the ones. They are light, perfectly sized and creamy white. They are perfect for mixing with other dishes and table linens. A great purchase.

I took a chance and ordered two sets, because I liked the looks of them online. I am so glad I did, as they are a wonderful set of dishes. My friends who have dinner here noticed the set the first time I used them. They are everything I wanted and more. They came well wrapped with no chips or cracks. They are a very elegant looking set and in a good price range. By the way... they are dishwasher and microwave safe. Thanks Overstock.

The Vanilla Classic dinnerware is even better in person! A nice creamy white, light weight for stoneware, completely glazed undersides on all pieces except the cups which are still very smooth (so no scratching). The rim in the cups is thin enough to drink without dribbling and holds a full 12 ounces. What I love even more is that after using them for a few weeks now, not a single silverware mark on the finish (which is why I GAVE AWAY my more expensive stoneware). I purchased a respected name replacement set for the ones I gave away, but the high glaze on those showed not silver marks, but cut/scratch marks! I was almost ready to give up. I have not "babied" these dishes yet, they come out of the diswasher looking new and beautiful. They make my meals look picture-perfect. The soup bowls do hold a substantial amount and the plates are a little larger than most which I prefer. I ordered two sets and would like to get a third. Of the two boxes, five pieces arrived broken/chipped, but I contacted customer service and replacements arrived within a couple days! I am thrilled with these dishes--thanks to all reviewers before me that led me here and thank you Overstock for the great value and customer service! This was my first experience with you and it won't be my last!

Just finished unpacking these and I am so happy I purchased 3 sets of these dishes. I was looking for a classic white set for so long and couldn't find anything out there at this price point. Love these dishes. Color works great with other dishes I own from WalMart to the Pottery Barn (I like to layer and mix and match). The detail and quality is very good and the "soup" bowl work really well for salad plates, dinner plates and even soup bowls. I'm really glad I order thes. Unlike most others, I did have a cup with a small chip in it.

I wanted a new set of everyday dishes to replace my worn out set. These look really like a lovely china set even though they are for every day as well as microwave and dishwasher safe. They are a bit off white in color which I was glad of. I do wish the set included cereal bowls in lieu of soup bowls however.
