This product was very easy to assemble and attach to my Toro walk behind. It takes a little getting used to when making your turns, but overall it works great. Also very easy to remove when needed.
Wanted my lawn to look like the pattern you see at a MLB game, so I bought the Lawn Stryper. Such a cool idea and it really works. Makes turning the mower a little extra effort, but so worth it. Even comes with instuctions for different patterns. Want to have the coolest lawn on the block? Then the Lawn Stryper is for you!!
Device was easy to assemble, as stated. I was concerned about attaching behind mower since I have a bag attachment. No problem. Device slips on and off, making it easier to mow in tight areas. My suggestion is to mow perimeter as recommended. Having device behind mower makes for a wide turn. Thus, having perimter mowed makes it easier to turn mower. Stripes are not as pronounced as I had anticipated, but recognizable.
Great product. Easily assembled and installed on the walk behind mower. Found it here on Overstock.com cheaper than ANY other website! Your grass needs to be on the taller side for this to work properly. I set the height adjustment on my mower to the highest setting and that is where this works the best. A finer blade of grass (like Kentucky Blue Grass) is the best. My yard does not look like the one in the photos, I think the colors are doctored up a bit, but it does look really good! Besides buying the Stryper, you will need to buy sand to fill it up. Very fine and clean sand works best, about 20 lbs. All my neighbors are jealous of just how good my lawn looks. I mow a different pattern every time and have fun thinking them up!
If you enjoy having a nice looking lawn, you'll probably like this device. Assembly is simple enough although it will probably require a little tweaking after your first effort, as you figure out the proper height, angle toward your deck, etc. It takes a little while to fill the plastic drum as the hole is small and didn't take too well to a funnel. Once you're all set up though (total set up time about 45 mins) it does what it is designed to do - roll your lawn. The stripes you see on the marketing are true enough. Obviously adding a 16 pound drum to the back of your mower adds a bit of a workout to doing the lawn...even with a self-propelled Honda mower. Overall, I'm glad I have it. Who doesn't want a parque lawn?
