This umbrella is not even close to red. It is a rust or cinnamon color. Only the center pole is aluminum. The sliding parts are pretty cheap plastic and the umbrella skelaton is a heavier plastic. I'll be surprised if it lasts a whole season.

This umbrella was a big dissapointment. The quality is very poor. We had it up for two days and on the second day it was a little windy outside. The umbrella could not stand up in mild wind. It busted in half and we can not even use it now. I am so upset and do not recommend this umbrella to anyone.

Overall quality and construction seemed good for the price I paid. My last umbrella didn't have the crank and tilt feature sothis is probably what I love most about this umbrella.

as other reviews mentioned our umbrella also got picked up by wind and snapped in half. The pole just crumpled like tin foil. I really expected it to be stronger. I'm sure it would be just fine if you take it down and store it after each use. It's a nice large umbrella and a great price. Just use it gently.

This umbrella looked great on my patio for a few weeks, then one night, I didn't crank it down and a good wind came through. It cracked right in half, and took the entire table AND the cast iron base over with it. Then it was so heavy, it took two people just to get it back upright and out of the table. I can't use it at all now. If you buy it, do yourself a favor and keep it closed when you're not using it. Just in case.

I ordered this umbrella online for my mother, crossed my fingers and hoped for a decent umbrella. Well, it is a very well constructed, lovely and functunal umbrella. I would highly recomment it. You will most likely need a very heavy umbrella base like cast iron. The color is beautiful, a rusty red color. Great Umbrella!

Very nice umbrella. Contructed well and the color is just perfect. The only drawback is I can't find a base that is strong enough to hold it .

We now own 3 of these umbrellas. The crank & tilt feature makes them so easy to use. We knew from other reviews, that they weren't a bright red. They are more of a cinnamon or brick color, which we really like. Great price & value.
