I bought two of these. They are beatiful and exactly as pictured. I recommend spraying them with a fabric protectant since the color is so light. My husband stained one of them with a bleeding cut he had on his foot before I could spray them and I am still trying to figure out what to use to clean the blood off that will not discolor the fabric - so spray them!! Great value - I priced around and went to several furniture stores looking for recliners that don't look like recliners before I chose these. I paid about $400 less for these and they are as sturdy and well designed as ones that were higher priced. I love overstock. i was concerned when they arrived and one of the boxes was practically desintegrated, but the chair inside was well wrapped in plastic and undamaged, thankfully. Very pleased and I recommend overstock highly.

Easy assembly. Not sure why 3 extra plastic washers for the legs are provided though. Each leg already has one installed.

This chair came well packed. It is easy to assemble - all you have to do is slide the back onto the seat area - no screws. It was heavier than I expected and needed to have a friend help me get the 2 pieces out of the box. It is sturdy and comfortable - soft enough but definitely not squooshy. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star rating is because the back of the arms are not flush with the chair the way it looks in the picture. There are 2 unsightly holes on each side under the rear of the arm rests where screws have been put in to hold the chair pieces together. They aren't visible from the front, but are visible from the side. I will get some black plastic plugs to cover the holes but this is something that should be addressed by quality control at the manufacturer. I like the color but wish it was available in other colors as well.

I searched local furniture stores for this type of chair and all were more than twice the price, not including the ottoman. Of course, this chair is not 100% leather but it doesn't look plasticky. I read all of the reviews on this site before making my purchase and thought all of them were accurate. One criticism someone had was that you sit "on" the chair, not "in it". While it's true that you don't sink into the chair, it is very comfortable. It may "relax" somewhat with use. The wood base makes the chair look more expensive. Also, I put the chair together by myself. All the tools needed are included. On caution, the box is very heavy! Also, I tracked it's delivery so that I was sure to be home when it arrived. I was glad that I was because UPS left it on the front porch while it was sleeting outside. All the pieces were wrapped in plastic, however, and were unharmed by the moisture. I would definitely by another piece of furniture from Overstock!

I purchased two of these Christopher Knight burnt orange reclinable chairs. The boxes arrived on Long Island, New York via FedEx Ground five days after they were shipped from California. The chairs are very easy to assemble. Simply screw in the four chair legs then slide the seatback onto the metal "prongs." This beautiful chair is total eye candy. It has a stunning mid-century modern style with sleek lines. The burnt orange color really stands out. The material on the chair is advertised as "bonded leather." Technically, there is leather in the composition of the material. It feels very firm to the touch, like it is a combination of plastic and leather. Out of the box, one can detect a bit of a factory smell from the bonded leather material, but I have notice that it is diminishing with each passing day. The chair is comfortable to sit it while watching movies. That being said, in the first position of the recline, the chair back leans back more than I would prefer. It is great for napping, but not ideal for movie-watching. A simple fix is to use a throw pillow and lean your head on it. This solution results in a perfect position for watching movies. The foot rest comes up nicely. When reclining to the full position, the chair becomes a slab on which you will be laying flat on your back. Not a very usable option for me, but it might be good for others. The chair is surprisingly heavy and it has very firm arms that offer great arm support for anyone who sits in the chair. The sides of the chair are not very far apart, so heftier (wide-waisted) people may feel squeezed when seated in the chair. I do not recommend the chair to people who are husky or overweight. The chair is perfectly comfortable for people who are not thick around the middle. I've enjoyed the chair for several days. It is so attactive that I ordered two more this morning. Ultimately, I need four chairs in my home theater room and these Christopher Knight burnt orange reclinable chairs are perfect for my situation. They are stylish, they are firm (but not hard), they are compact, they are great to use as standard club chairs with the option to recline, and they look gorgeous. I absolutely recommend them, but wait for a coupon from Overstock before you order them.

this chair is perfect for what we needed. its in the garage witch is a game room(man cave) and it's mine . I'm 5'2" not good for a large man. a little plastic looking ,but easy to clean. very padded and comfortable, and no handle on the side to break ,like the last chair we purchased.

Of all the recliners I looked at on the internet this one really caught my eye. Love the height of the recliner as far as seat and armrest. I love the color, same as pictured. The armrest and cup holders look better than pictured. Armrest seem to look better as far as fullness and length. The recliner from floor to top only measured 38" for me not 41" that explains the "not enough head support" from some of the reviews. This recliner is so cute you cannot keep your eyes off of it, its a great eye catcher. I am very pleased with it as I am only 5ft 2in and my husband is 5ft 7in, so we have the full support of the head rest but, it wouldn't hurt to have had the full 41" measurement. There is no pocket for a remote so I have came up with an ideal of buying a throw pillow and making me a pocket on the backside for two remotes, hope it works. Also, there were comments about the bonded leather looking more like vinyl or plastic, its an OK material at the price, it does have a little grain color look to it and I'm sure the price would have been twice the price had it of been a better quality. The higher the price the better the material. Overall I like the recliner for its size, its unique style and comfort at a very good price. As far as price Overstock has the best price of this item on the internet. From some of the sellers price ranged from **** or more higher from Overstock.com. Like one review said if your looking at this recliner go ahead click on the button and order yourself one I don't think you will be disappointed.( Also let me say the gathers at the top of the recliner show less gathers than the footrest in the picture, they are the same.)

The chairs arrived well packaged and right on time as promised. They are comfortable enough just not what I expected. I'm partly to blame for assuming bonded leather meant genuine leather that was bonded together! Silly me! The material looks and feels plastic. Not even a quality vinyl. I'm disappointed but decided the headache of shipping them back is not worth it. I would've been better off purchasing the chairs at Target or Walmart at least I would've been able to touch/feel the product before committing. Also, I had to pull out the scissors to cut little pieces of thread and other interior materials that were sticking out where they shouldn't be. This is the downside of Internet shopping.

This chair is what it is for the price. The look is pretty nice as far as recliners go. It is comfortable BUT the bonded leather feels like vinyl. It is very plastic like and not soft and buttery as leather should be. It is very hard and shiny. Also the back of the chair is not finished. There is just a flap of material that covers the hardware. Didn't work for us but Overstock didn't give us any hassle and returned and refunded purchase price for us. If the look is what you want, go for it. If comfort is what you want, beware.

I purchased this recliner about a month ago and I love it. It's one of the most comfortable chairs to sit in. It was shipped in a huge box, comes in 2 pieces, and was EXTREMELY well packaged. It took forever to get the thing out of all the styrofoam, and plastic - but I'm not complaining! There wasn't one scratch, or one thread out of place on this chair. You just pop the back onto the seat of the chair and it's ready to go. There is a velcro strap to keep the foot rest in place, but mine wasn't strapped down. There are 2 reclining positions, one where you are sitting up more, relaxed, and another where you're reclined all the way back, sleeping. I am impressed by how easily and smoothly the chair reclines. The arms are a deep expresso color and the gray fabric does have a slight brownish undertone - but I think the swatch on the website really does represent the color accurately. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

Nice recliner. Easy to assemble. The color of the recliner is not as orange as in the picture, more of a salmon or muted paprika color. I love the color anyway. It fits well in my smaller townhouse living room. I was buying it for my bedroom, but it never made it upstairs. I may have to buy another to go upstairs. The chair reclines by pushing back on the back - pretty easy. There is one set reclining position, but you can continue to push back on the back until you are almost lying flat. So far, it will stay at whatever position I stop at and it is comfortable to nap in. I am 5' 5" and pillow hits comfortably in center of my head when lying back. When reclining, a second smaller foot rest pops out from beneath the chair and the two piece footrest is attached to the seat by a fabric strip, so that small dogs and kids don't fall through the footrest. Shipping - It lost one rating star due to shipping and handling. Shipped quickly. My only complaint is that UPS left the box on my doorstep on a rainy day with no plastic covering, so the box was soaked when I got home. Luckily, the chair was still dry. Packing - The wooden arms were wrapped in styrofoam and cardboard and the fabric parts in a fabric wrap. When unpacking, I found a nut, a bolt, and a floor protector tack that goes on the bottom of the chair leg lying loose in the bottom of the box. Fortunately, I was able to determine that the nut and bolt were one of four nut/bolt pairs that holds the reclining assembly on the chair and was able to reattach them to the chair. Be sure to check the box before throwing it out!

We needed a small chair for the home office, and this fits the bill perfectly. It's a classic style in a neutral light beige that will coordinate with any changes over the years. The chair is comfortable, especially when reclined. I find the back a bit too slanted back just for sitting without the reclining mechanism up, but I plan on adding a colorful pillow and I think that will take care of that. It's a firm chair, which I like, but if you want squooshy, this is not it. It's small; not for a big person, but perfect for the small space in which we placed it. When delivered, all we had to do was screw on the feet and slide the back down onto the metal slats. It comes with some plastic disks you can add if it needs to be balanced, but we had no such problem. I would consider purchasing a Christopher Knight product again.

I'm 5'2" and most recliners swallow me. And, my other furniture is more contemporary so most recliners looked terrible.I looked at all types of 'comfortable' chairs and this one looked contemporary without being hard and austere. OMG! I love this thing. Other reviews said it was easy to assemble, but really, it's crazy how easy it was. Just screw on the feet, slip on the back piece (needs two people to line it up) and sit down! It reclines fully so snooze time is easy to achieve. And I love the color (the dark Herrington red) which is kind of a Merlot/Burgundy. It's a push-back type to get it to recline, but it's fairly easy and smooth. The only issue that I have it on a wood floor and it slides a bit. I may put felt pads over the little plastic knobs on the feet and maybe that will inhibit it. But it's not a big deal. I am totally impressed. There is even an envelope enclosed thanking me for the purchase and telling me to enjoy. It's printed on heavy weight stock. Classy.

I've had the chair for a couple of weeks, it's ok, firm, which I like, but, as others have said, the back is tilted back to far in and the doesn't stay back in the recline position. The construction is not the best, the padding in the arms are lacking in areas, your arm is resting on the frame and when you lean back it sounds like it has plastic lining inside, it sound funny, it's not real sturdy so it doesn't look like it will last very long before it will start falling apart. But it suits my purpose for now.

I can vouch for what the others have said about fast shipping and this chair being a snap (literally) to put together. It takes longer to screw in the four plastic "feet" for the chair than any other part of the process. As for the look, I bought the tan linen, and it looks just as clean and classy as in the picture. It's a fantastic choice if you want a recliner that doesn't look like a recliner. But, you better be a small person if you want to fit in this chair. It fits me perfectly, but I'm only 5'3" and weigh about 130. This chair isn't much wider than I am (though I don't feel constrained at all by it). The head rest is slightly taller than my head, and the foot rest comes to about my ankles. It's perfect for me, but if you're much taller or have more mass, you'll want to go a different route. I am completely pleased with my new recliner!

I was a bit disappointed when the club chair arrived as I expected better quality for the price. The leather feels faux and the plastic does not match at all. I placed it into my study room so I can relax and rest after work. But at least this club chair is really comfortable.

Good value for the money, chair is 100% genuine pleather (high quality plastic) which I knew going in so was not disappointed. The chair and foot rest were easy to assemble, and the directions adequate. The locking slide mechanism needs improvement. I've had this chair for a number of months now and it seems to stand up well to daily use - we'll see longer term. The alternatives are far more expensive which was what dictated this purchase, I think I got what I expected. The shipping materials are inadequate, the box this came in was barely hanging together, but nothing was missing.

Had I researched what "patent" leather is,specifically how much plastic is in it rather than recalling other patent leather items I have seen before-, I would had never bought this chair. I read other buyers' opinion and I was under the impression that it truly looked like leather. I should have reflected upon its price instead of hoping that it would be a nice looking chair. I saw products made of the patent leather before and they, indeed, looked like leather. This chair does not even come close to it. It looks like plastic. A cheap looking chair!!! The color is nicer on the picture than in reality, but taupe has so many different shades that it is difficult to comment on it. For someone the color could be just what he/she is looking for. I was hoping for something closer to the picture. In reality, the color is somewhat darker. As for the mechanism of this recliner, it is great and this is why I have given it three stars. Indeed, it is comfortable and easy to use/recline. It was not difficult to put it tg. And the wooden support, though brown in color it has a reddish hue. I wish I knew this before I got it. Frankly, I wanted to return it but I would have had to pay the shipping price and it would have been high. So now I am stuck with it. Delivery from Overstock was as always smooth and quick. So the Overstock staff gets five stars and the chair only gets three stars.

This is a cheaply made plastic chair from China. It doesn look good in the picture and looks fine from a distance in our home. Comfort is OK. Swivel base was broken. Just cheap plastic and I am sure it will break again. The arm was also broken. I must attribute these problems to UPS who delivered the box. A new one was send and that one had a hole in the box that had pierced the back of the chair. Very shoddy. I told Overstock it was the shippers problem but UPS picked it up without comment. The base and armrests look really nice, but they do delaminate. My husband noticed that. For the price per chair (I ordered 2) I would have been better off to buy something secondhand. I guess furniture just costs a lot more than I am used to. The plastic cover in no way resembles leather but the color is very good. Cheap stuff from China, what can I say.

We bought 2 chairs and love them. They are very comfortable. The seat is higher than typical which makes them very easy for taller people to get out of (5' 10" and 6' 1"). We love the look of them and have gotten many complements on them. The green fabric is beautiful and they are quite roomy. Assembly was a breeze. The only problem we had was that the wooden arms were scratched during shipping. They need to be wrapped with something less likely to tear. Some hardware came off on one chair and the plastic pad/foot snapped off on the other (so there is a sharp nail sticking out). These pieces obviously bounced around during shipment, tore the thin wrapping, and scratched the arms in multiple places. We decided to try to touch them up ourselves instead of returning them and risking getting the same or worse. But overall, I would recommend them.
