I had been searching for a smaller size (Narrow) little fireplace that would fit between two windows in my formal living room. My home is victorian so I wanted something to fit the style and age of the home. Most of the units I had found were narrow but very short, looking more like a toy that should be in a playhouse . This one though I wish was a bit taller looks like an actual firplace and is quite lovely. The details i.e rosettes, piping, wood carving and dental molding give it a classic look and absolutely LOVE the hidden storage compartments. Although listed as oak, it's a much richer color than the cheap looking light oak out there. It was very easy and quick to put together by myself,(clear instructions). Once I got it put together was so excited when I lit the gel fuel. Loved the crackling and warmth and LOVED the ambiance. There were however a few dings and scratches and the metal firebox instructions a bit off but it was pretty self explanatory. It looks great and I wish that I could afford another one to go in the same location (between the two windows) in my attached formal dining room. If I could I would definitely buy another one! :)

I am very pleased with this fireplace. It gives the heat that you need. It is especially good if your electricity goes out and you cannot use your furnace, that is why we bought it. It is a beautiful piece of furniture also. We all like it very much.
