Gel Fuel Is Great Product
I'm very pleased with the gel fuel. I've used them twice in my gel fuel fireplace and each time the fuel burned from 3 to 3.5 hours. The fuel also crackles like real wood. Very nice ambience. No odor.

Real Flame 13-oz Gel Fuel (Pack of 12)
Throws off a bit of heat and DOES actually crackle like real fire as it burns. Kind of tricky to extinguish and a little high maintenance to use. First you have to remove paper labeling, then you must wash lids & use tongs to 'set' back on top of burning can. It is suggested that you wait 30 minutes for cans to cool before handling, THEN YOU MUST SECURE LIDS (like paint cans) TO CLOSE CANS, OR FUEL EVAPORATES. I didn't do this and overnight cans dried out. It seems that 3 hours is the maximum burn time. For me, the ambiance it creates is worth it, but I think the design & ease of use could be improved.

These do not fit most of our holders, so check the size. They are too big, so I fill our smaller ones w/ the goo.

Fuel gel for standing or wall fireplaces
Wonderful product! Very safe without fumes!! And my fireplace is on the wall!! Was a little nervous at first but it burns perfect and goes out in the exact amount of time listed!! No problems at all!!!!

Lovely fire flames
Purchased this with our Real Flame fireplace. Couldn't be more happy with our purchase. People are so surprised that our new fireplace actually has fire in it! Super convenient to use, just open the canisters, remove their labels, and light. Burns for about 2.5 hours - actually crackles and pops as if wood was in your fire place and the flames are a decent height - not like candles, but like real fire. Emits a decent amount of heat if you stand near by as well. Best of all - it is odorless and ventless and there is no clean up of soot or debris. A little pricey but it's a luxury item and really is a nice touch to your room.

Great product for the price
I love this product. Everything that I thought it would be. It does let off a bit of fumes at the end, but nothing to bad. Crackled just like a real wood would do in a fire.
