  • Like a real fire

    Crackles and flames like a real fireplace. Used in a ventless fireplace to add ambiance in a bedroom. Actually throws off quite a bit of heat. Didn't give 5 stars because our smoke alarm did go off. This may be because we used 3 cans and it was the first use of the fireplace. Tried burning unit in garage and will retry in bedroom.

    I've been using the product for years. Never any bad smells or soot. I just wish they would last a little longer. Average burning time is about 2 - 21/2 hrs. per can

    Real Flame product is the best for faux fireplaces ; it's easy to use and I love the sound of crackling fire that it gives off. I highly recommend this brand

Yes, you can put the lid back on the can with the special tool that is available if you want to douse the flame, and reuse it later if there is fuel left in the can. bezzi1 on Feb 26, 2013
 
Thank you for your question. The Real Flame 13-oz Gel Fuel, can be snuffed out and then relit when ready for next use. We do suggest to stir the fuel before relighting. overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 27, 2013
