Crackles and flames like a real fireplace. Used in a ventless fireplace to add ambiance in a bedroom. Actually throws off quite a bit of heat. Didn't give 5 stars because our smoke alarm did go off. This may be because we used 3 cans and it was the first use of the fireplace. Tried burning unit in garage and will retry in bedroom.

I've been using the product for years. Never any bad smells or soot. I just wish they would last a little longer. Average burning time is about 2 - 21/2 hrs. per can

Real Flame product is the best for faux fireplaces ; it's easy to use and I love the sound of crackling fire that it gives off. I highly recommend this brand

I enjoy the real flame and the sound it makes. Theses cans really do throw off the heat too. For my small bedroom I only light one can at a time otherwise it gets too warm. I have noticed that so far I have not had a can last quite 3 hours even though they say they should last 3 to 3.5. I always stir the gel before use, this does help make sure all the gel burns down evenly, which gives it a little more time. I enjoy this product but it is a bit expensive for the length of time of the flame. The cans also have a one year self life so plan ahead!

Was very pleased with the quality of the flames and length of time it burned. No smoke or funny odors. Since my home doesn't have a "built in fireplace" I am very happy with this substitute. An electric fireplace cannot give me the pleasure I have from using a fireplace where I can have real flames and no smoke or unpleasant odor!!

The product performed exactly as expected, and fit into the spaces for the fireplace logs as pictured. The fuel did give off a bit of an odor, but nothing obnoxious.

This is a great product. Easy to use with confidence. The only thing I had to remember was to remove the paper covering the gel can. It lights easily and burns with no ordor. It gives off heat with no ash or sparks. It crackles like a real fire and works perfectly with my fireplace. I would gladly recommend this product to anyone.

This product works beautifully and burns clean and complete. Be sure to remove the paper as directed by the directions on the can. Love it! Works wonderful and last about 31/2 hours.

Works just as described...give a good warmth to the room and the crackle of the flames is very relaxing. I have noticed that you can not use for a short time and then relight... I have noticed that you have to use them in their entire time or they will not relight. That is the only drawback.
