This range hood is a Windster 36" under cabinet model 208L. The measurements Overstock.com provides are wrong in terms of depth and height. The range hood is 6" high and 18 1/8" inches deep. It is 36" wide (as described). The range hood is described with halogen lights but has LED lighting, not halogen--or at least the one that was sent to me did. This is the current model of this range hood and is a great value on Overstock.com. I was replacing an existing range hood and this was a simple job since the ducting was already in place. It was 4 screws to remove the old one and 4 screws to put in the new one. It looks terrific over the stovetop and the LED lights illuminate the stove top well. I was afraid the LED lights might be too white and clinical, but these aren't in my opinion. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend the product.

The range hood does everything we expect. Nice, clean lines, effective exhaust & it provides excellent lighting for the range. It was installed by a professional during a kitchen remodel, so we have no idea about ease of installation.

Overall, this is a great buy. Our house now has no cooking smell after we got this range hood. The touch screen sometimes is not sensitive, but the remote control can do the job.

the range hood is exactly what we wanted, and the price was perfect. Overstock is the absolute BEST place to find what you want, for less; and, their return policy simply cannot be improved upon. love them!

I bought this to replace a range hood and I love the features. There are three different settings for light and the fan, that make it so much easier to use. I am glad I bought it.

Had this range hood a few weeks now and its working pretty well. it gets the smell out and vents the steam when i do alot of frying. it has a high or low speed and a left vent or right vent option and the light is bright. i love this hood because its soo much more functional than the ones you buy at those big box stores-this one does what its supposed too. It looks very stylish with the white kitchen appliances i already have. it has a foreign name on the front thats not shown in the pictures (looks like chinese)but i just translate that into meaning "damned good hood"

This hood was installed by a professional with ease. The best feature is the filter screens. It has two very large filter screens that are easy to remove for cleaning. The lights on each side illuminate the cooktop perfectly. I have always hated under cabinet range hoods but the construction of the underside on this hood is fairly flat, smooth edges and easy to clean. I use diluted vinegar in spray bottle to wipe down and after several months of use still looks brand new. Gave it a 4-star rating because the on and off switches for the fan and the lights have a tendency to stick as you to toggle from high speed to low speed and dim to bright light. But I am pleased with the hood and it is a good fit in our all white kitchen. Another good purchase from Overstock.

I was a bit hesitant to order something as expensive as a range hood online, without having seen it in person. But well, we live in central PA, and weren't able to find many range hoods in the area to look at. This one arrived in perfect condition, and very quickly. We weren't hyper-picky about anything--just wanted an attractive and functional hood (already an improvement over our previous kitchen setup), and given those minimum requirements, we wanted the cheapest one we could find. This one is nice and heavy--our contractor even commented on it. He said he put in a much more expensive hood in a previous job, and it had been much flimsier than our hood. The contractor's only complaint (and ours too) is the cheesy blue-ish LED lights in the hood. I don't really care--our kitchen lighting is good enough that I never turn on the hood lights. And if I did care enough, I'm quite sure I could find replacement LEDs that weren't such a weird color. (It's not a BLUE light... just a blue-tinted white light). My husband complains that the hood is kind of loud--I suspect it's consistent with the reported noise levels. Again, not a big deal to me--I expected the hood to make noise, and it wasn't worth it to me to pay a ton more for a super-quiet model. On the lowest setting, it's not a bother at all. Even on medium, it's not like it interferes with conversation or anything. (I don't know about high, because I never use it on high--or haven't needed to so far). All in all, this hood works beautifully, and it keeps the grease, oil, and heat out of the kitchen very effectively. Moreover, it looks great (for an equally great price!).

We bought this range hood about 5 months ago and so far we love it. It has good suction and since our kitchen has an open doorway to our living room, this is important. I think it is average as far as noise is concerned, but the main thing is that it moves air and it looks great. It really makes our kitchen look high end for a reasonable price. The only small complaint I have is that the lighting is white and not very bright, but I might be able to change the bulbs out. All in all, we are very pleased with our purchase.

Very happy with our new Braun Evolution 2 series range hood. It's everything we were looking for - good price, quiet, great lighting, stylish and it eliminates ordors. Overstock's service was excellent. The first unit arrived dented and Overstock replaced it immediately with free return postage on the dented unit. The second unit arrived in three days in perfect condition. Easy to install for a handy person such as my husband. Happy customers on all counts.

After less than two years, the dual MR16 lights stopped working. I sent an email to tech support at the company, and they advised I bypass the 110V-12V transformer, and install GU10 bulbs instead (running the lights at 110V instead of 12V). They even sent me pictures showing what needed to be done, and offered to sell me their very own $50 kit, which made it all plug and play (and convenient). Before ordering anything, I looked over the unit a bit more. No power in or out of the 12V transformer. I looked over the circuit board, and found a blown 5x20 glass fuse hidden on the main circuit board. I had to pull a wire off the board to gain access, which was secured with a crimped-on female push-on terminal. When I tried pulling the terminal off the board, the entire male end that was soldered to the board pulled out along with it! I pushed it back in enough to make contact, but this connection is not solid, and cannot be trusted. Moving on, I replaced the fuse, and there is power into the transformer now, but nothing out. Obviously a blown transformer, but still wondering why the fuse blew. Having much DIY electrical experience with homes, boats, and cars, I knew I could easily re-wire these lights without buying a silly $50.00 kit. It's a two hot and neutral wires split to two light bulbs, not a NASA space shuttle for God's sake. After the re-wire, the lights work, but do not turn off. They are always on regardless of button position. Now the company is telling me I need a new circuit board (conveniently, again a $50 cost), and apparently they claim their units do not have a fuse on the board at all (even after I sent them pictures of mine). They also recommended I solder the male terminal that pulled out back to the board. They also had no explanation as to how the "mystery fuse" and board blew, and just blamed me for rewiring the lights without using their kit (typical). I'm guessing when the transformer shorted, the fuse did not blow fast enough to protect the board from damage. They refuse to acknowledge that, and will not cover any parts under good will, and will not even discount anything. They seem to believe 2-years of use is a long time. Also, to make matters worse, because I had the grills off, my wife decides to wash them in the dishwasher, since the RangeHoodsInc website says they are dishwasher safe. They came out looking horrendous! They are severely discolored, with white powdery spots and dark blotches and a very uneven tone all around. They blamed this on phosphate-free dishwasher soap! I clean a lot of metal in my dishwasher and have NEVER seen this before. And these are $60 to replace! No where on their website does it state to use a certain type of soap in the dishwasher. On the range hood product page, it says they are dishwasher safe not once, but TWICE! What a great way to treat a customer, especially for a 5-year young company, and a 2-year old $500 product! Anyway, just wanted to share my experience to those shopping for a new range hood. Go for something better quality, and with real customer support.

The ventahood was something I searched and searched before making a decision. It is loud when it is at the highest setting. The stainless steel matches great with the other Jenn-Air Pro Appliances and you cannot tell its an off brand ventahood. If you are trying to match a hood with other brands of appliances, I'd make sure there isn't a logo. This one doesn't have a logo on it. The lights do emit a "cool" tone to them. There is a grate on the right and left side of the vent that allows you to see the duct running up through to the ceiling. We used white duct tape and then later had to take down the vent cover to retape it as the white tape was very visible on the sides.

I thought this a great deal when I got it. Unfortunately, the light system only worked a year before it burned out. The filters, three of them, do have plastic parts, the handles, and they do melt, even if the unit is installed at the height recommended in the manual. I still have not been able to find replacement parts. Basically, an expensive white elephant. I wish I had never bought it.

So glad I updated from my 19 year old white Broan. This looks great and runs great. The filter is better than the old one and it vents much better than the old one. The best thing about this is the lighting--it is fantastic! I didn't realize how poor the rest of my kitchen's lights are. Now I need to upgrade them. Also, my husband was able to hang this and connect it with no problem.

I have to say this unit sucks...in a good way. the workmanship is middle of the road but the mechanics are great. the unit has two fans each with a high and low speed setting and a hood light ... I always recomend the stainless steel model for kitchen hoods because if you get it in colors white etc. the paint always comes off when you really get down to cleaning the hood . some people have said the noise was loud, look when you have a hood with 780 cfm it's got to make some sound , but i find it was not bad...show me a quiet shop vac and i will show you a vacuum that does'nt suck. this unit gets the job done period. also during the summer month if you open up your windows in the house and turn this kitchen hood on it will move air thru-your house just like ventilation. so get it it work!!!

Installing this hood was easy to do with just two wall anchors. I would highly suggest mounting into a stud instead or using your own drywall anchors instead of the hardware provided. On my unit, I had a problem with the display working properly which was traced to a bad circuit board. Cavaliere support was very responsive and quick to send replacement parts. The fan, even with my 20' run and multiple bends, delivers a very powerful blast of air. The design of the buttons is lacking as the lights are way too bright and really unnecessary. I solved this by taking the unit apart (4 screws) and used a Sharpie to color the LED bulbs and also spayed some white spray paint into the buttons to limit the light penetration. Doing this got the button luminosity to what I would think is the correct and usable level. Outside of the button lighting issue, this is a well built hood and a great value.

We were hesitate to purchase this item, site unseen and a brand that we were not very familiar with. Having managed a Sears store I am brand-loyal to Kenmore; this was the exception. We were redesigned our kitchen and switched out the appliances to stainless steel. As much as I like stainless steel I have always felt it was a bit too industrial looking, however I did not want to go with black or white appliances. The design is sleek of this hood is sophisticated and the glass gives the stainless steel a softer, less industrial look- exactly what we were looking for. The quality of this item is superb. I have had it for over two-years now and can say we have not had one (1) issue with it. The fan is strong with variable speeds, the lighting is very powerful as well. LED lights are very nice looking. The filters are easy to clean. Easy to operate. Ultra quiet on low. This was very easy to assemble and install for my husband. We highly recommend this item. We would certainly purchase it again.
