  I absolutely Love the Island range hood. It is worth way more than the price I paid. I like that the controls are on both sides of the unit. When in my dining room, I can just reach over and turn if off without going into my kitchen. It looks exactly like the picture. The packaging was very secure.

  We have yet to install or use this range hood, because it did not come with an electrical plug. This is quite confusing, because no one else mentions inability to plug in this hood; and Overstock makes no mention of needing to buy a separate power cord. Also, the manual gives no instructions about how to supply power to this unit. Am I the only one confused by this? I contacted Overstock, and they did offer compensation for lack of a power cord, which I appreciate, but still have no idea if this needs to be hardwired or simply have a power cord installed.

  This hood was installed by a professional with ease. The best feature is the filter screens. It has two very large filter screens that are easy to remove for cleaning. The lights on each side illuminate the cooktop perfectly. I have always hated under cabinet range hoods but the construction of the underside on this hood is fairly flat, smooth edges and easy to clean. I use diluted vinegar in spray bottle to wipe down and after several months of use still looks brand new. Gave it a 4-star rating because the on and off switches for the fan and the lights have a tendency to stick as you to toggle from high speed to low speed and dim to bright light. But I am pleased with the hood and it is a good fit in our all white kitchen. Another good purchase from Overstock.

  Review is not based on the quality of the product as it has been 3 weeks and I have yet to have all the parts to actually install and use. Product arrived after about 1 week but did not include any of the mounting accessories required to mount on the wall and connect the duct work even though the product manual listed these parts as "included". I contacted customer service who weren't able to track down the parts so they told be they would expedite me a new unit and send a return label to send the old one back. Luckily I was out of town and couldn't package the unit up to return because two days later they contacted me and said they found the parts and were now ONLY sending the parts, but they did not bother to expedite those parts. It has been over 3 weeks and all I have to show for it is hunk of metal taking up space in my kitchen. Bad experience.

  We purchased this range hood while remodeling our kitchen. It was an excellent choice. Great quality and has a very attractive look. The process of hanging it was not bad just time consuming. The vent is very quiet on low and med settings and very powerful on the high setting. The lights are very handy as well with three settings. If you are going to buy an island hood this one was a great purchase.
