This fixture is exactly what we was looking for. I didn't read the description well, nor the comments. If I had, I would have seen that the fixture is clearly stated as brushed nickel. I was expecting it to come as it appears. It ended up working better than I planned, because we do have nickel cabinet pulls in the room. I will add, when you turn it on, the bulbs give off an amber glow, so it does change the look of the metal, warming it up a bit, but not as dark as the picture looks. We love it!
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Fixture is brushed nickel, as stated in the description, but it appears coppery/oil rubbed bronze.
Please tell us about the quality of the product. Great
How accurate was the on site description of the product? Exact
The only problem I have with this fixture are the light bulbs. They are pretty dim which I expected from Edison bulbs but it was like candle light for me, =P I bought round clear vanity bulbs which make it a lot brighter.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? same
Please tell us about the quality of the product. solid fixture
How accurate was the on site description of the product? spot on
We absolutely love this chandelier! My husband installed it with no trouble. It looks wonderful over my table. It looks even better than I expected from the picture. The color is great. It really adds that special something to the room.
Love it! The light fixture comes with the bulbs (which bought separately are 10/per bulb.) This fixture looks like a renovation hardware model - but does not have those prices. It has good quality workmanship, clean and simple lines, yet it is soft and warm (hard to get both these features together.) I have an old farmhouse with an area where we eat breakfast and watch nature - this is over that table and it makes the whole space look like a picture from another time. Love the Edison light bulb effect!
This light is gorgeous! I have it above my dining room table and love the light it gives off. The style of the chandelier and light bulbs are great and I plan to purchase another one for our kitchen as well. Amazing price for what you get!
Purchased this to go over my dining table to replace an old fixture. I put it up with my son in laws help. Looks beautiful. We had to adjust it it using a level and visual aesthetic from several directions to get it just right. One of the bulbs was damaged but customer service replaced it quickly. We had a cocktail party shortly after putting the fixture up and everyone loved it.
Outer diameter of ring: 19"
Maximum width (includes 60 W bulbs): 29"
Length of support cables: 19.25"
Total height (from top of round ring to the bottom of the 60 W bulb): 30"
Comes with six, 60W Edison incandescent bulbs (at full power provide more than enough light; if it had come with 40W bulbs, it would not have had enough brightness when you would have needed it in my opinion)
The lamp hardware is in brushed nickel (looks almost identical to one's stainless steel refrigerator door)
Looks great with 9 ft ceiling (to give you some perspective, if you have an 8 ft ceiling, your chain may be one link; not very appealing in my opinion; for 9 ft ceiling and 29.5" table height, only seven small links, plus two locking links at either end are needed)
Why can't this be hung on a slope ceiling if it hangs from a chain?kellyestone on Apr 20, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This QuestionThere are no answers to this question yet, be the first to answer it.

I just purchased this and it looks beautiful. Unfortunately, I accidentally cut the wires too short, so the chandelier hangs a bit high. Is it possible to extend or replace the wire with the excess included in the packaging?jdcohen on Feb 12, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello jdcohen, You should have no trouble adding additional wire. if you are unsure of the process I would recommend consulting your electrician overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 25, 2014

We have a sloped ceiling but the electrician said the "Box" he made for the light to attach to the ceiling would fit any light that has a 4 inch attachment. We initially purchased a light that was more rectangular and had a larger rectangular attachment. Will this light work for a 10 foot ceiling?disneymama3 on Oct 19, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for shopping with us disneymama3. The ceiling plate is 6 inches in diameter. The chain is approximately 70 inches in length. Have a great day.overstockcustomercare1 on Oct 28, 2013

Can chain be shortened or not? Note discrepancy in responses on Nov. 18, 2012 & Feb. 23, 2013.judiam on Aug 30, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
My electrician shortened and removed the extra links on the chain when installing this fixture.jennburton2000 on Sep 5, 2013
To clarify, is the chandelier itself only 30.5 inches? With the chain is it 110 inches? I have about 55 inches from my ceiling to my table, and I am trying to figure out if this will work with shortening up the chain. Also, does this fixture take 60 watt Edison bulbs? I notice a discrepancy in the previous Q & A.catieshe3 on Jul 16, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello catieshe3, Yes it will work by shortening the chain. The fixture takes 40 watt Edison bulbs. Please feel free to contact us again with any further questions. Thank you for shopping with us!overstockcustomercare1 on Jul 23, 2013
For clarification, the unit has 60W bulbs included that work perfectly (failry bright, warm). The documentation has "60W" pasted over the original insert, so perhaps in the past it came with 40W.jdcohen on Feb 12, 2014
Hi jordane1126, yes, this Rae 6-light Chandelier will work great with a dimmer switch. Thanks for your interest, hope this helps! overstockcustomercare1 on Jun 19, 2013
To clarify, is the diameter of the circle 29" or is 29" the entire width of the fixture? I see the lights extend out, so I was hoping to get a better idea of the size. Thanks!bapirate on May 16, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hi bapirate, the 29 inch diameter is the external measurement. Thanks for your itnerest, hope this helps!overstockcustomercare1 on May 17, 2013

I see down below in the other q&a's that somebody successfully removed ALL the chain and mounted just the base. That's what I would have to do as well, with my 8 foot ceilings.

My bulbs give off a very dim "orange glow" type of light which is disturbing. I love the chandelier but hate the lights. Has any one else noticed this? Can I buy different soft white Edison bulbs?peabee2013 on Apr 1, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello peabee2013, actually the ‘orange glow’ emitted from the Edison is a part of the charm and characteristic of this bulb type. However, the bulb may be replaced by any other type with the same socket size and maximum wattage. There are LED soft white bulbs that fit into the E27 socket but they would not look identical to the Edison as they would have a diffuser.
Also a customer has answered that they were able to replace the Edison bulbs with clear vanity bulbs that emitted more light. You will just need to look for an E27 socket type and a maximum wattage of 40. Thank you for your question.
