I spend over 2 months researching on the perfect air filter. I shopped the local hardware stores, specialty stores, and online merchants and was not content with what I found. I was looking for a quiet machine that was easy to fit in a corner without being an eyesore. In addition, costs of replacement filter fees was high on the list and the square footage of coverage. The RabbitAir is all of the above and more. I have it on the auto-setting and the air has never smelled so fresh. My condo does not have a sufficient fan when cooking so food smells linger past 24 hours. Not the case now. I ordered the front cover in Pearl White which is beautiful. You can also order the different colors and switch it out if you desire on the company's main website. The functions are straight forward. Although you have to use the remote to access all features. It is relatively lightweight so that I can move it to different areas of the room with ease. It is energy efficient although it did not qualify for energy-star, although extremely close. For more detailed information with video, go the the official website for rabbitair. So to make my review a little easier to read, it will be broken down as below: PROS: extremely quiet stylish- can swap out front case cover if desired light-weight easy to use function with auto-setting reduces dust/pollen/food odors effectively energy efficient covers large square footage for such a moderate size cheap filter replacement costs (every 1.5-3 years) 5 year warranty plug in and forget about it CONS: pricey (but worth it to me) must change out filters strictly as recommended or warranty is void cannot access all features unless use remote- so don't lose it! not energy star rated Oh, and you can see how effective the auto mode is . . . my boyfriend farts in the vicinity of the rabbitair and the turbo setting kicks in and the orange/red bar lights up. Makes for some giggles.
So far so good- the product is solidly built, makes little noise and seems to help with my morning congestion problems. Is it a panacea? No- unfortunately it did not immediately render my sinuses clear... but they seem to be improving. The machine itself is exactly as represented- sharp looking, quiet, well built and seems to be sturdy. Time will tell. I think that after reviewing what's available, this is the best of the breed. I'll know better once the winter arrives and the house is buttoned up a lot more tightly than it is during the summer's warmth. The only reason I haven't given a 5 star rating is that there seems to be little technology here for the money. A fan, a filter and a sniffer that appears to measure the air quality. I guess I'd be happy with 3 or 4 fan settings and a timer for a lot less money. My ideal for the bedroom would be to have it turn on an hour or two before bed- clean the air in the room- and then go into maintenance mode for the next 7 or 8 hours and shut off. Do it all again the next day. Ah well- this is a fine unit and I'm pleased with it. I think you will be too.
I have 4 parrots and 1 indoor dog who is currently being house broken, so the smell of puppy has been in the air, but using this air purifier it has greatly help reduce the odor to next to nothing even though we have frequent accidents. Also this purifier is getting a double duty work out with all the feather dust my african grey and cockatiel distribute with just a fluff of their feathers.
The Rabbit does the job. House smells cleaner! attracts a lot of dust and has to be cleaned often.

My daughter has one and they love how it helps in the bedroom. They have two cats and she has not had to treat asthma since they got theirs. Igot one formy husbands allergies and it seems to help. Several settings, it can detect very small particles. When central heat kicks on it goes full blast! I need to clean my ducts!

Very quiet, slim lines, pretty color and most importantly, air is fresher and cleaner and it is very quiet when running except at the highest speeds but even then not really annoying or anything like that. I like it and am encouraging my allergic son-in-law to get one and enjoy their one cat more.

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and my home not only has pet dander for some reason there tend to be more dust than usual. I have allergies to both pets, dust & pollen. I had heard about the Rabbit air purifier and it is the best one on the market. Highly recommended!!!

Sleek and attractive but hard working. Love the displays which show the quality of air. We have it on automatic for 2 hours before bed and 2 hours in the morning in the bedroom. Our dog has severe pollen allergies and we humans as well. My husband uses his inhaler rarely now and I use 90% less kleenex. Our dog's eyes are much less runny and he has cut way back on chewing his feet (also added raw food to his diet).

Over the years I have purchased many air cleaners, purifiers. Nothing actually worked for a large space and filters were very pricey. Although it was quite expensive, it works, the filters are washable, many pluses overall. It has a large footprint, but well worth the floor space for something that takes out oders. I smoke & it keeps the air quality good, my husband was cutting flooring & it started smoking with a wood burning smell. I took the rabbitair to the room he was working in & in a matter of minutes the air was clear & no more wood burning smell! Definitely recommend.
It's seems good so far. My son in law had the top of the line one and it worked well for their space. I wanted to have something that gets the cooking odors out quickly and it seem to be doing it's job. I am a little disappointed that it was so large but I did get the one for 780 sq. ft. and I did find an out of the way place for it.
Love the RabbitAir!! It is quiet and has completely solved the dander problem with our pet cockatiel!!
I know I bought too small -- I have a 850 sq feet apartment to cover so this is just to help out - not for total air quality control. I love the green color. Think iPod metallic green. You can measure, but you are never prepared for how big the unit is compared to the picture -- but it's light enough to move around. The noise: On full blast -- it is no worse than a "whisper quite" large fan or window air conditioner. You get used to it after a few days. Because I have a dog and a cat, I'll bet that I will have to wash the filters more often -- but they are super easy to access. These units are drop-shipped in two days by UPS directly from the factory and are not seconds. I looked at multiple sites to find a cheaper price -- and overstock lists the standard costs -- these units never go on sale. However, the shipping at overstock is cheaper than most!
I'm asthmatic and I first purchased this air purifier 5 years ago to combat smoke from a downstairs neighbor. I had a cheaper air cleaner which wasn't cutting it, and I was hesitant to drop $400 on the Rabbit. I am so glad I made the purchase. It works like a dream, not too loud, and the air in my apartment smells so clean and fresh. I have a dog and it even traps dog hair in the pre-filter. Shortly after I purchased the air cleaner I was able to cut down on my asthma inhaler and I have been on a reduced dose ever since. I also have not had an asthma attack in nearly 5 years. It is easy to clean, and I just replaced the hepa filter for the first time since I purchased it. My only small complaint is that the smell detector isn't as sensitive as it once was. I usually use it on automatic mode, but now that it doesn't detect smells as well, I have to manually adjust it. But this is after 5 years so I can't really complain. It still cleans the air as well as it did when it was new. I just moved to a new, much larger apt, so I purchased another. It came fast and works like a dream, just like I expected it to. Don't waste your money on cheaper air cleaners, go with the rabbit.
I like this one so much that I bought a second one for the other end of the house. It is lightweight and designed so that it is very easy to clean.
I would recommend this to anyone. I have two dogs and a small house and the air is always fresh and I havent had any problems in over a year. While getting my cable installed, the installers were impressed and let me know that my house smelled fresh and they appreciated it because they go into some really horrendous homes. If you have any problems with it please try to exchange it for a new one, it really works. To the person who said it filled up with dust......yes it does, but thats its job to pull these things out of the air so you dont breathe them. Dog and animal dander that builds up looks like dust as well when it accumulates. I have owned the Ionic pro... both of them have stopped running after only a few months and I have had one other that will not operate after only a few months as well, and they both made a lot of very static like noises. I do think its expensive and if the price came down I would get a second one. I do not however regret buying it, just the opposite.
I researched online for months for the perfect air purifier at a reasonable price. I already had an air purifier prior to purchasing this and needed another one for downstairs to cover a larger space. I suffer from seasonal and year round allergies and I also have multiple chemical sensitivities (almost all smells bother me). I was impressed with the reviews I found on overstock.com, however, I did not have such a great experience myself with this product. The air purifier arrived almost immediately thanks to overstock and as soon as I followed the directs and tested out the purifier it began to rattle on medium to high settings. I checked with overstock to see if this was normal and they directed me to Rabbit Air's website. Rabbit Air unfortunately took several days to get back to me yet indicated that the machine is ok to use and might rattle depending on the surface its on and setting. I was ok with that. After about two weeks of use I checked the air purfier to see if it was indeed picking up air pollutants and allergens and to my surprise it was filled with dust and needed to be cleaned. I vaccuumed the air purifier approximately every other week from then on and after nearly two months the change filter light came on. I was extremely disappointed because one of the main reasons I bought this was because of the long filter life expectincy. In my honest opinion this air purifier is not worth the money because the sensors almost never come on (I almost always keep it on auto) and it does nothing to combat smells, even one day I sprayed an air freshener infront of it to see if the odor sensor would pick it up and it did not. This air purifier is more expensive than my other air purifier that covers half the sq footage yet seems to work 100 times better than the Rabbit Air. I would recommend this only to someone who wants to minimize dust in the air because it does little to nothing for my allergies as well as smells. The Rabbit Air's does have a sleek design, great color choices, easy to use remote... but it's pros end there.
After looking around for an air purifier for about one year I settled on this one for several reasons and I am glad I did. I have asthma and am very sensitive to dust. and certain odors. The other air purifier I had made a great deal of noise and did not address VOC's or odors issues which I also react to. This air purifer is extremely quite. At first I even wondered if it was purifiing the air becuase it was so quite. However, I noticed that I was sleeping better the first week of owning it and also noticed that it went into a higher mode when there were certain odors in the air. I appreciate that it has an air sensor which actually can pick up odors and levels of dust in the air. I keep the purifier mainly in my bedroom but at times I move it to the kitchen when I am cooking and strong odors permeate the air.
