Got one a couple of months back and zero problems whatsoever. Slept on it myself for a week to check it out and guests slept on it another week: very comfortable and very worth the money. Easy to set up, easy to adjust, and easy to take down and fold up (though not quite compact as when you get it). The height is really perfect and once dressed and properly inflated, it is just like a regular bed except that you can easily move it alone and don't need to dedicate a room to it fulltime. btw my guests included about 600+ lbs of people and dog. I worried about the claws of the dog on the bed (big dog and long claws), it went without a hitch. I did have a pad on the mattress so that might've helped with the claws, but still, the weight was no problem for it at least. There's a 750 lb limit on the bed, and it performed very well for close to 650 lbs. It looks good when it's set up (with bedding or without), but if you're not a fan of the color, elastic-banded bedskirts are easy enough to buy and put on/make or a really oversized blanket does the trick (like Cal-king sized). btw it comes with a patch or two in the box -- also there's a warranty you can purchase from overstock. I think which will replace it if you're really nervous because of reviews concerning leaks. I got one for just that reason, but so far no problems at all. This is truly a great buy and I highly recommend it, but there are four things to keep in mind: First, the mattress stays a bit cool so you might desire a mattress pad or a blanket between it and you. Second, for anyone who's never had one: as an air mattress, and, weighing only 30 lbs, it moves fairly easily. On a plush rug, it might not be much of a problem, but on hardwood floors or any smooth surface, a non-slip rug pad is a very good idea. Berber carpet is a bit smooth for it, but you can go without a rug pad and do just fine getting in and out of it -- you have to actually run into it. For those who want a solid bed look and feel to it or just extra stability, a non-slip rug pad is a must. Third, the mattress does need a night or two to "stretch out" so fill it at least the night before you need it or you might find it too soft and have a sore back come morning (this is in the directions btw -- it is not a slow leak). It does not stretch a whole lot over the night, but it is definitely softer and does widen on all sides as it stretches. To have a consistent firmness all night, you HAVE to let it stretch out a night first. And yes, you have to do this each time you inflate it anew. If you are going camping, inflate it a few nights before you leave, adjust to proper firmness so it stretches out all the way to your preference, deflate it right before you leave, and inflate it again as soon as you can when you arrive. It does stay stretched out for a little while, but you cannot store it for more than a couple of days and expect it to perform well without being re-stretched. The less time between inflations, the better of course. Finally, I HIGHLY recommend using king-sized sheets for it, and a king-sized comforter would be a good idea as well. The queen-sized ones for extra-thick mattresses do fit, but you don't really have enough slack for a pad. You can struggle with it and maybe get them on with a pad under the bottom sheet, but it is really difficult and bad for the sheets. Even without a pad, it's a tight fit and I wouldn't recommend it for the sheets' sake. Because the mattress "stretches" on the sides, it ends up being a slightly wider and longer mattress than the official measurements (the ones given are for the top felted part only). It's actually nice as a bed imho, but king-sized sheets for extra-thick mattress are a very good idea. So, as long as you let the mattress stretch before using it, get a king-sized pad (or just put a big blanket under you), get a non-slip rug pad if you need it, and use king-sized stuff in general, it is an awesome bed. There's also the warranty for peace of mind. All in all, this is a great bed worth every penny.

Great Bed! Comfortable and actually NICE!
from Ann Arbor, MI,  Sep 20, 2006

When I tell visitors that I have an inflatable bed for them they cringe. When I fire this bed up, though, they are very, very happy! It is a real bed as opposed to the "lay on the floor" inflatables around. I have slept on it 4 or 5 times on my own trips and love it. This is simply a great bed.

AIR MATTRESS
Anonymous  from Boston Area,  Jun 24, 2006

At first everything was OK. It had a very slow, impossible to find leak almost right away. Eventually, the seams began to fail, and after having patched 3 or 4 seams, the thing still leaks and we can't find the leak. This is literally, a piece of junk. DO NOT buy it. You will regret the waste of $$. And, Overstock will not stand behind the product. It is clear from other reviews that the product is defective, but once you are past the return period, you are stuck. Thanks Overstock. We will not buy Overstock again because of this.

Frustrating!
 from Washington,  Aug 14, 2006

I have finally decided to write a review because I've become so frustrated with the thing that I had to warn others. We blew through the tiny patch package the bed comes with in about two weeks. At this point and time we've gone through two whole packages of patches, and we've now bought a third. That's how many holes we've gotten! All the holes are on the seams, which appear to be very weak. Only one person has been sleeping on this bed, and the seams are tearing out on that side only. Right now we're up to 6 holes since July 2nd, and it's only August 14th. There is nothing more frustrating then waking up at 2 AM with your bed going flat, your back aching from sleeping on a deflating bed, and having to patch a hole and sleep on the floor for 4 hours while the patch glue sets. I won't be buying another one. Also my mother slept on it one night and then opted to sleep on the floor with one of those low air matresses instead. At least if the air goes out in those you don't have as far to sink! There's also no tucking in the blankets or sheets. If you use a very elastic bottom sheet it'll stay, but the other sheet and blankets won't. It is amazingly easy to set up though. I can say that. If it weren't for the seams ripping, I think it'd be great for when guests come and I give up my bed to them, because I'd never ask them to sleep on it.

Junk!
 from Ohio,  Jun 20, 2006

I bought this exact model and it had a very hard to find leak. Twice a night I had to re-inflate it or my back would kill me. Finally, after 6 months of use the entire seam on the side just blew out. A waste of money!!

leaked first time we used it!
 from Reeseville,WI,  May 22, 2006

I sent this to my married daughter so that when we visited that my husband and I could sleep in comfort. We were the first ones to use it and it leaked to the floor and we could not find the leak. I read another review that this very same thing happened, I am trying to find out if I can get my money back. I would not recommand this bed.

Works great for about ten times
from North Carolina,  May 19, 2006

I bought this and loved it until it began to leak and I couldn't find where etc. By morning I was on the floor. SO - good for eight or nine times - and that's a high price to be further off the ground compared to a standard air bed. I should also add I didn't deflate it even once and slept on it for two weeks until it just didn't work. I think the valve where the pump goes in slowly leaked-failed because I couldn't find any holes. IF it didn't leak I'd still be using it happily

Yes but what do you mend cracks in the seams with
from Phoenix AZ,  May 26, 2006

My daughter bought one of these for regular use. She loved sleeping in it, but after about 3 months it developed a crack in a seam. She was able to mend it with the little patch kit that came with it, but the the seam kept opening, and the patch kit is used up. We have not been able to find an adhesive that will mend the thing permanently. She's pretty tired of waking up on or near the floor every morning. That said, when it works, it's great. It's comfortable and you can adjust the firmness. Just wish they'd either make the seams stronger or provide more patch kits.

a little leaky
 Apr 28, 2006

Yes, this really is a great bed. My guests loved it, and now my friend wants to get rid of her traditional mattress set, and buy one to use for occasional guests, so she has room to use her guest bedroom herself as an exercise room. My only disappointment is that the mattress loses enough air overnight so that it must be pumped up daily.

Bob
from San Diego,  Dec 28, 2006

I bought one of these in the summer of 2005 and intended to use it temporaraly until I got a different bed. I liked it so much I continued to use it and never bought the other bed. After a year and a half I got into it and one of the seams on the top gave way and the bed was finished. I wasn't that upset though considering the low price I paid. I liked the bed so much I ordered another one exactly like it and was pleased to find they offer a warranty good for two years for an extra $19 so I took it. The warranty is a great deal and the bed is super. I would recommend it to anyone, has many advantages over a traditional mattress!

Always have my bed
from New Jersey,  Dec 24, 2006

This bed is excellent it weighs less then 40 pounds I can take it with me across the US, and always have my personal bed when I stay with friends. It's easy to inflate, and very, very comfortable. I'm actually here to buy another as a gift for my holiday guests that love it.

The mattress is huge. It's the best I've ever seen. You can make it hard or soft. The family loves it. It's high so you don't struggle getting on and off...

Best Bed for Money
from Fort Lauderdale, FL,  Nov 14, 2006

Good quality. Abiltiy to regulate bed's firmness with control. Blows up in little time. Appears to be a "real" bed. Better rest than tranditional shorter mattress, because there is more air between sleeper and floor. Recommend this to anyone as a spare or primary bed for long term guests. Sleeps two comfortably.

What a comfortable bed!
from Spokane, WA,  Sep 2, 2006

We bought this bed in May and it is now September, and after nightly use as our primary bed it is still as comfortable as it was the first night we slept on it. It has stretched out a bit from use. However it is, by far, one of the most comfortable beds, air or regular, that we have slept on. Our only complaint is that fitted sheets won't stay on the bed after repeated use of the bed... but we've found that simply using two flat sheets works just fine. Would we recommend this bed to our friends and family? In a heartbeat! What a great bed!

Disappointed
 from Florida,  Aug 18, 2006

I bought this air mattress knowing that I wouldn't be using it for a few months, so wouldn't be able to return. When I needed it, it was easy to put up and the air pump worked great. All went well for a few weeks. The bed was firm, but comfortable. Then one day I noticed that it was spreading, getting wider and longer. The air seemed fine and I could still use it with sleeping bags, but not sheets. It just started to bow out at the sides. I am disappointed in the mattress and sorry that I have exceeded the return policy.

not worth it
 from ohio,  Mar 6, 2007

Company that makes it is lion sports. They do not stand by there 90 day policy. I started using bed on Oct 5 2006 after 2 months bed seem split so I sent that back. I did not receive other back until beginning of January. My son who weighs 240lbs laid down on the bed and his elbow went through it.. So buyer beware

excellent
 from cornelius n.c.,  Dec 8, 2006

this bed was great . when its first inflated according to instructions you will have to deflate and inflate one or two additional times to insure that all the air pockets are filled, otherwise it will deflate. once i followed the instructions the bed was perfect. it feels like an expensive mattress. the fitted sheets are hard to stay on . overall i am extremely pleased and am about to order another one.
