The bed is extremely comfortable. The price is right. However, I called Overstock and asked if the bed included the frame and I was informed that the bed did include the frame. It does not. It includes the mattress and box spring only. The description says it includes the frame, so I was disappointed to realize I had to buy a bed frame. If I would've known that, I might not have purchased it. The instructions that come with it are virtually useless. However, having said all that, I still would recommend the bed. Just know that you have to buy a bed frame for it. A good value nonetheless.
This mattress is ridiculously plush, very comfortable and totally worth the entire cost of this item, but like some other reviewers have mentioned, the foundation is terrible. At first it was a problem I could easily remedy by buying metal supports that attach to the bottom of my bed frame because the foundation would sag in the middle, but now, like mentioned before, the slats are coming out of place. I plan on, very soon, buying another foundation, and I've found some super cheap ones on xxxxxxxxx (I'm talking $25). I'm a little peeved, but considering how comfortable this mattress is, I think I still came out ahead for how cheap this was.
I purchased this for my 14 year old son. The top mattress is great - amazing how they roll it and air compress it for shipping. The box spring assembly was a surprise - overall easy but doesn't seem very sturdy - no problems though. The box spring seems to be smaller than other box springs in my house. It serves the purpose and son said it feels great.
I will not recommend this mattress to any one. I purchased it, and had it sent to my daughter who is in the military at Ft. Braggs NC. I went to visit her for Thanksgiving and found the mattress to had sunk in inthe middle. the slates in the box spring are cut into short pieces which does not reach all the way across the width of the box spring, which caused the mattress to sink into the middle. I called Overstock to find out if they could replace the mattress for something else. at first they told me that the bed was still under warranty, then when I could not get any answers from the manufacture they came back and said that it was'nt. so we had to go the store and buy screws and wood glue to hold the slates in place and keep them from moving. I shop a lot with Overstock and I'm very disappointed with the way they handled this problem. Pease do not buy unless you are prepared to buy some screws and glue to hold it together.
I purchased three of the mattress in a box and I'm more than satisfied based on the feedback that I received from my family members who slept on them while visiting over the Christmas weekend. Overall they were easy to set up,the only problem was the shipping boxes for all three were busted open making them hard to handle, other than that you can't get anything better for the price.
After moving last year I moved my daughters out of their twin beds and into queen beds. Since they are not home most of the year - but off to college, I wanted a comfortable yet economical mattress. This mattress was all that and even more than I expected. The girls think they are very comfortable. The foundation in a box was somewhat of an ordeal to put together, and don't think that it is a 'box-spring' - because it is simply a fabric covered box. I wish I had video taped the mattress as it expanded out of the shrink-wrap. What a sight! Definitely have the mattress in-place before you cut the shrink wrap off. Very fast delivery, and packaged so that transporting the mattress to its final location (via stairs, elevator, whatever) was a breeze.
The mattress is good, surprisingly good. The foundation set was a joke. Our set was manufactured without screws so upon arrival we had nothing to assemble the set with, as per directions.I don't know if this company has gone out of business or what, but when I call the number on the directions and on the website I cannot reach the makers of the product. We were able to use the mattress, but lost money on the foundation.
I am enjoying my new Queen-size-mattress-and-frame-in-a-box. It is very sturdy, strong, and comfortably soft all at once. I have already recommended others to buy this product from Overstock.com. This is a very good buy, and I may be getting another one for my other bedroom as I have two bedrooms. At the end of each day, I look so forward to just lying down on my bed, and I get that good ol' "Aahh" feeling.
We ordered the "box springs" and the mattress. The "box springs" you have to assemble! We were not aware of this and not only that there are no springs, just a box of wood with a cover over it.The mattress was cool to watch it expand and turn into a real mattress with a pillow top! However to sleep on it is just okay. Not as soft and comfortable as the other reviews led me to believe. I find it to be stiff and firm. It will be okay as a guest bed but I wouldn't be happy if I had to sleep on it every night.
When the box arrived we did not think it could have been a real bed. After putting together the base we ordered with the matress we opened the box and cut the plastic to inflate. After a few minutes it looked like a bed, and after a day or two we had friends use for a weekend. No complaints, a little on the soft side, but very comfortable.
