This frying pan is described as 8 inches on the website. Traditionally frying pans are measured across the bottom diameter; this was measured from top rim to rim. The true size is less than 6 inches! I'll try it and see if it's sufficient, but the description is very misleading. May be returned. Plus there's a sticker on the bottom that wouldn't come off without oil, leaving a sticky residue that is sure to burn.Read More

we have had a Vinaroz Ceramic Coated 11-inch Frying Pan for months and love it. we hope this brand witl do as wellRead More
I bought this in both the eight-inch and 12-inch sizes. It is heavy enough and the bottom is entirely flat, so it works fine on my induction range. I baby it a little bit. That is, I do not put it in the dishwasher, nor do I use metal cooking utensils. And, I make sure it is entirely cool before washing it. This helps lessen the wear and tear on the ceramic interior. I also "season" it before each use by wiping olive oil on the interior of the pan. I pour some in and then wipe it all over the interior of the pan with a paper towel and get out all the excess. There's not enough calories in this light a coating of olive oil to count. I have found the pan to perform very satisfactorily and would recommend it to friends. I wish the company made a griddle with the ceramic interior. Also, the price was very reasonable for the quality. And, I had to return the eight-inch pan because it had a flaw in it. Overstock.com was very prompt in giving me a return shipping label, and they sent me a new pan right away. I am very happy with both the pan(s) and the customer service.Read More
This is a great little pan for a few eggs. I do wish the finish were smooth, as in the 11 inch pan I recently purchased, instead of textured, but the texture does not seem to be a problem. This is super non-stick and super easy to clean.Read More
I am very satisfied with this 8" skillet, but was a little dismayed when I first saw the pebbled cooking surface. Although it cleans easily, over continued use it does have a stain in the pebbling that I cannot remove, even with my good old vinegar. (I confess I haven't tried a commercial cleaner...just don't like those.) However, it cooks well, needs no oil or spray, and is a good size for two persons. I just wish it had come with a lid...it is a generous 8" and finding a lid that is a good fit has escaped me so far.Read More

Best Pots and Pans
Choosing the perfect cookware is a matter of personal preference and cooking style, but understanding the differences can help every cook. Professional chefs agree that every household needs an 8- to 10-inch skillet, a 5- to 7-quart sauce pan and a stock pot. Choose pans that fit your needs, and you will love cooking with them.
How to Use a Roasting Pan
A roasting pan is a large pan, often with a lid, that is used to roast meats in the oven. The pan can be made of stainless steel, aluminum or other metals and have enamel or nonstick coatings. Roasting pans are available in a variety of sizes to suit different types of roasting. The key to properly using a roasting pan is to leave at least 2 inches of air space around the meat that you are roasting.
How to Season Stainless Steel Pans
While most cooks know that you need to season your food before it will taste good, new cooks might not know that you can also season your pots and pans. Seasoning is a process in which you prepare a pan or other cookware before you use it for the first time. When you season stainless steel pots and pans, you are filling the pores of the pan's surface with carbonized oil, which blocks the oxidation process and therefore keeps the cookware from rusting or pitting. In addition, seasoning helps to prevent food from sticking to the pan. The following steps will teach you how to season and protect your stainless steel pots and pans so they will last longer and work better.
Tips on Cooking with a Cast-iron Skillet
Once you cook with cast iron, you'll understand why people are so attached to this sturdy, efficient cookware. When well-seasoned and cared for properly, cast-iron cookware can last generations and will provide an excellent natural, nonstick surface. Cooking with cast-iron pots and pans isn't much different than using other types of pots and pans, but there are a few important techniques you should be aware of in order to get the most out of your cast-iron cookware.
How to Break in a Stainless Steel Frying Pan
Stainless steel frying pans are frequently used by professional chefs and serious cooks at home. Unlike cast-iron fry pans, stainless steel fry pans do not need to be seasoned before use; and unlike nonstick fry pans, you will need to use oil to avoid food sticking to the surface of your stainless steel fry pan and even then, some food will still stick. While these facts might seem like disadvantages, they're actually the reasons why many cooks prefer to use stainless steel fry pans. High-quality stainless steel cookware may not be the best for cooking things like eggs, but for the most flavorful searing of fish, meat and vegetables, stainless steel fry pans are unrivaled. The following steps will teach you how break in your stainless steel fry pan before each use.
How to Cook With a Griddle
Cooking breakfast or even dinner on a griddle doesn't have to be reserved for camping anymore; in fact, you can simplify your cooking by using electric grills instead of a bunch of pots and pans. With the right electric griddle and a bit of cooking oil, you can feed a crowd in minutes. Read on for tips on cooking with a griddle indoors and out.
Stainless Steel Cookware Care
For chefs with strong opinions and a no-nonsense approach to cooking, stainless steel cookware is a popular choice. Prized for its resistance to staining, odors, and the transference of flavors, stainless steel cookware is a sound choice for any kitchen. It does require some special care, however, if you want to make the most of your pots and pans.
How to Care for Nonstick Cookware
You love your nonstick cookware, so take good care of it. Nonstick cookware has a special coating that can make your cooking healthier by reducing the amount of fat and oil you need to use in your cooking. A nonstick coating also makes it easier to clean your pots and pans, but improper care can ruin the nonstick coating, which causes foods to stick, makes cleaning more difficult and reduces the lifespan of your cookware. The following tips will help you care for your nonstick pans and keep them working like new. By properly caring for your nonstick cookware after each use, you can be assured it will last a long time and remain in good condition.

Creating an eco-friendly kitchen includes your choice of appliances, but it also goes beyond that; the floors, paint, pots and pans, and other kitchen items you use can make your kitchen eco-friendly as well.

Best Types of Tile for Kitchen Countertops
Tile kitchen countertops are an affordable alternative to traditional solid stone units. Countertop tile can be made from many of the most popular materials, such as granite or quartz, yet costs just a fraction of the price. Tile countertops are also easy to install and repair, making them the perfect project for the DIY homeowner. Ceramic. Ceramic tile is made from natural clay that is baked to remove excess moisture. It is available in a wide variety of colors and designs that can be mixed and matched to any kitchen. Ceramic tile is affordable, easy to install and very low maintenance. It is also waterproof and able to withstand high temperatures from hot dishes. If you choose ceramic tile for your kitchen countertops, you should be aware that ceramic tile can crack or chip if heavy objects are dropped on it. To minimize grout stains, you can choose a dark grout and use a grout sealer to protect the seams from dirt. Mosaic. Mosaic tile comes in tiny 1-inch square units. It is often sold in large sheets that are attached to a mesh backer-board, making for easy and fast installation. These tiles can be mixed to create unique patterns and textures, and are very durable. One advantage of mosaic tiles is that they are colored all the way through, so a chip or crack will not be as visible as with ceramic tile. Granite. Granite tile is a natural stone product that is widely popular in kitchen decor. Tiles made from granite offer the beauty of natural stone at a fraction of the cost. Granite tiles often have a mottled surface that helps to hide dirt and fingerprints and are incredibly strong and long-lasting. Like all granite products, these tiles must be sealed after installation and at least once a year for the duration of their use. Quartz. Quartz tile is a manufactured product designed to look similar to granite while offering superior performance. It is made from crushed quartz crystals pressed together with resin. Quartz tile has a smooth and uniform surface with a consistent grain. It is slightly less expensive than granite and is much more durable and long-lasting. Unlike granite, quartz tiles do not need to be sealed. They are completely nonporous, which prevents bacteria from becoming trapped in the surface. Quartz cannot be repaired as easily as granite, however, and it offers none of the natural beauty and color variation of real stone. View All Tile Back to Guides Directory View All Tile
Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses
FAQs about Pre-Owned Rolex Watches | Overstock.comFAQs about Pre-Owned Rolex Watchesby Shawna Edwards I've never made a large purchase online. Why pick Overstock.com?Overstock.com is one of the largest retailers of high-end jewelry and watches. We have taken the time to create a Web environment that caters to our customers by allowing them to comfortably shop for wristwatches from the privacy of their homes. We offer our customers a wide variety of timepieces at the most competitive prices available. In addition to this, we want them to feel secure purchasing from us. Overstock.com is one of a handful of online high-end watch merchants that are capable of processing your credit card for your entire purchase. This allows "first-time buyers" to feel more secure in making a large purchase because they have an added layer of security via their credit card company. Do all your Rolex watches come with their serial numbers?Every Rolex watch sold by Overstock.com will have its unique Rolex serial and reference numbers in place and viewable by removing the watch band from the six o'clock and twelve o'clock ends. What is meant by "Perfect Like New Condition?""Perfect like new (day one) condition" watches are pre-owned Rolex timepieces that are purchased by Overstock.com in pristine, mint and immaculate condition. This obviously is the case cosmetically and mechanically. Every timepiece is thoroughly inspected to ensure that they are authentic and meet our quality standards. These luxury watches are so pristine that, in most cases, they are indistinguishable from new watches. Our men's watches and women's watches may have miniscule markings, and the watch bracelets will have miniscule amounts of stretch. Will my watch come with documentation?Every watch will come with detailed documentation stating a full watch description, serial number and model number. Being that the manufacturer's warranty has expired, you will receive a limited one-year warranty from our vendor. Will my watch be covered by a warranty, and what about post warranty service?Being that the manufacturer's warranties on these timepieces have expired, our vendor issues a one-year limited warranty on every watch. The warranty work is done by expert watchmakers who use only original manufacturers' parts and have decades of experience working with Rolex watches. After the one-year limited warranty has expired, you may continue to request service through our vendor who will service the watch when needed at industry cost prices. How can I be sure that the watch will fit my wrist? All our watches will fit up to a 6-and-a-half-inch wrist for a woman and for a man will fit up to a 7-and-a-half-inch wrist (extra links are available for additional charges). Rolex watches can be easily resized to fit any wrist by your local jeweler. How do I measure for my wrist size? You can get an approximate measurement of your wrist by using a soft measuring tape or measuring the inside of your best fitting watch. If you don't have a soft measuring tape, you can wrap a ribbon or a piece of string around your wrist at the wrist bone, mark the spot where it meets, and measure it against a ruler to determine your approximate wrist size. To get the best fit, measure fairly snug at the wrist bone. This is approximate sizing not a 100 percent guarantee of prefect sizing. If the watch is a gift and you do not know the recipient's wrist size, you can use the following as a guide (as with all products, the standard sizes depend on the manufacturer):Men's Standard Bracelet SizesInside, including watch face while bracelet is closedAdult Small5-1/2" to 6-1/2"Adult Average6-1/2" to 7-1/2"Adult Large7-1/2" to 8-1/2"Adult X-Large8-1/2" to 9-1/2" Women's Standard Bracelet SizesInside, including watch face while bracelet is closedAdult Small4-1/2" to 5-1/2"Adult Average5-1/2" to 6-1/2"Adult Large6-1/2" to 7-1/2"Adult X-Large7-1/2" to 8-1/2" Will the watch be fully water-resistant? And can I go swimming or shower with my watch?Every Rolex watch is fully tested for water resistance; the total depth rating is listed with every model. Drawing on years of experience, it is our recommendation that, though Rolex watches are water resistant, because of the fine nature of the timepiece, we discourage our customers from making a practice of taking them in the shower or pool. If for some reason the stem, which is the round mechanism found on the side of the case, which is unscrewed to set the time, is not completely screwed down, water could leak into the movement and damage the watch. (Please refer to your warranty card regarding water damage.) The chances are incredibly slim that this will happen, but nonetheless it is our recommendation that our customers refrain from taking their Rolex watches into the water to avoid any unnecessary problems. How does Overstock.com offer such great prices when my local jeweler has a similar piece for considerably more?Overstock.com has built the best connections in the business, affording us the ability to buy from dealers at the highest level of the industry. Through these connections we can buy in the largest quantities while getting the best pricing. Being that we are not an authorized dealer of Rolex or affiliated with Rolex, USA we are able to offer our customers rock bottom pricing without being subject to any manufacturer's price controls or policies. Do I need to be present to sign for the package? For your safety, you will need to sign for the package that contains your watch. If you are not present when it arrives, the package will not be left at your door. A door tag will be left to inform you when the courier will come to redeliver your package. Alternatively, you can call the courier to arrange a better delivery time or pick-up (with photo identification) at the local hub. What is the benefit of buying a pre-owned Rolex over a new one?Unlike new Rolex watches, pre-owned Rolex watches do not depreciate in value immediately after purchase. Therefore, buying a new Rolex watch is like buying a brand new car: The moment you drive it off the lot it has lost 20 to 30 percent of its value. With buying a pre-owned watch, you have effectively cut out any value depreciation and retail markup. Rolex watches hold their value over time; in most cases, a pre-owned Rolex can be resold at a price very close to your purchase price.Rolex designs don't change too often; therefore, owning a perfect condition pre-owned timepiece is as good as a new one, with no one knowing that the watch was purchased pre-owned. No one can spot a used Rolex on your wrist. With the proper care and maintenance, a Rolex lasts forever. How do I determine the age of my watch? You are guaranteed to receive a desirable modern watch with a fully automatic self-winding (or quartz movement depending on your purchase), with quickset date feature. Due to the fact that Rolex models are manufactured for a number of years, the year of your watch will be circa 1980s or 1990s. Every Rolex watch sold by Overstock.com will have its unique Rolex serial number, which determines the year of manufacture. Overstock.com and our Rolex Vendors are not affiliated with Rolex or Rolex, USA Inc., and are not an authorized Rolex dealer. Third party One-Year Warranty.
