I purchased this knife set several weeks ago to replace our old knives that were finally falling apart. The knives arrived the very next day, and were even more attractive than the picture showed! The wood block is nice and sturdy. The knives themselves are made from one piece of stainless steel, and they are weighted beautifully. My husband actually commented on how impressed he was with the quality of the knives! We have used all of the knives - the 8-inch chef's knife is definitely the one I use the most often - and the 8-inch bread knife is my favorite - the serated edge is nice and sharp, and you can really cut the bread thin with it. I am thinking of buying another set for my sister! This is a great knife set, and a fantastic value for the price!

I wanted a set of knives that was all metal/stainless steal. You have to sharpen the knives once in awhile but overall I love my knives. I had it for over a year.

This is a most competent set of knives. Formed in a single piece, they are effective cutting instruments and lovely in form, sleek and clean in appearance.
