Wow, I couldn't believe that a mattress, as large as this, could be sent in a box. I hesitated to buy a mattress online, sight unseen, and did look up the company name, "Priage ", which is a sister company of Zinus of California. I could find no positive or negative feed back on Consumer Report or any online commentary about the companies or their product lines. When this item dropped down to 8 in stock, and a clearance sale price with additional 15% off promotion, I took the risk and bought my first upscale hybrid mattress at 75% off the mfsgrt. It came in such a small box I doubted it's correct size description. It expanded out of a vacuum sealed origami folded form into the bed of my dreams. Great support for someone suffering degenerative discs with support but 0 pressure points. No motion transfer which is great for an additional sleeping companion. All I can hope for is 10 years of bedroom bliss, as provided by the Priage warranty .Read More
Bed is very firm. It feels like only 1 1/2 inches of memory foam on top of coils. Bed may be ok for back sleepers but if you turn on your side it will hurt. Added another 3 inches of memory foam in an attempt to make it comfortable, otherwise bed was too painful. Bed did sleep cooler. You sleep on top of bed not in it like memory foam bed by itself.Read More

Questions & Answers
Hello bgl3317, this mattress is CertiPUR-US certified. The question mark is a typo. Sorry for the confusion. Thank you for shopping with us!
I've let my mattress "expand" for the full 48 hours it recommends, but the mattress is only 11" (at BEST), not 12" like the name suggests or 12.5" as the description suggests ("Construction: Four support and comfort layers; 1.5-inch support foam and fiber padding; an additional 3-inches of support foam and followed by a 0.5-inch layer of high density foam encasing 7.5-inch iCoil system of individually wrapped innerspring coils"). Why is that? Is this correct, or is there a problem with this mattress, or was I sent a smaller size? Thanks for your help.

Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses

Best Mattresses for Every Sleeping Position
A mattress is one of the most important purchases you can make because you spend hours each day sleeping and rejuvenating for the next day. While shopping for a new mattress, keep in mind the typical sleeping positions you have to ensure you will find the right mattress to help with bone or joint alignment. Below, you'll learn the best mattresses for every sleeping position. Sleeping on your back: If you primarily sleep on your back, you need to find a mattress with support to prevent pain in the lower back. Sleeping on a mattress that does not have enough support causes muscle strain in the back and increases the chance you will assume a poor posture during sleep, leaving you achy in the morning. The best mattresses for this sleeping position have at least 400 to 800 14-gauge coils. Innerspring mattresses feature firm coils to support the back yet still mold to the curvature of the spine. Mattresses with box springs are ideal for those who sleep on their backs because they stabilize weight, offering back support and increasing the life of the bedding. Sleeping on your stomach: While sleeping on your stomach is comfortable, it also increases pressure and strain on parts of the body like the neck or back. Soft mattresses are the best for those who sleep on their stomachs. Look for mattresses that have 300 to 400 14-gauge coils, which will ensure the mattress is soft and comfortable. If you must use a pillow, look into buying a memory foam style, which molds to the head and neck to stabilize them during sleep. Sleeping on your side: Side sleeping is one of the most common positions on a mattress, and it may also be one of the hardest positions to shop for. Since you lay on your side, there is pressure on the shoulders and hips, which could make a firm mattress uncomfortable for sleeping. A mattress that is too soft is often not supportive enough to keep the spine in proper alignment. The ideal mattress for this position is one that has supportive coils, with a memory foam topper to provide comfort to the joints of the body.
