  • One gadget I actually use

    I've had my professional salad shooter since I got married 25 years ago. I finally had to replace it when it gave up the ghost. I use mine for shredding cheese (often)--which it does in a few seconds rather than endless musclework on a hand grater box. I also use it to slice potatoes (I use the thick slice cartridge) for scalloped potatoes. Aside from that, its' been used to slice the occasional carrot or cucumber, but mainly those two tasks. And it's been worth having for that! It's one of the very few kitchen gadgets I actually use, and I use it regularly. Love my salad shooter, wouldn't be without it.

    If you eat a lot of salad or shred cheese a lot, this is a great tool to have around. It is a bit loud but it is so convenient that you'll use it anyway. Washes easily in the dishwasher
