lbibeachmom from Buck's County, PA, Rating:5.0I am an ironing/laundry fanatic. I iron all the sheets for my 6 bedroom house along with a two bedroom guest cottage. This has made my life so much easier. I enjoy ironing again. I saw a similar product at a friends house who irons her husbands work shirts. I send my husband's shirts to the cleaners but I iron everything else myself including my two sons' shirts. I went on a mission for 3 weeks reviewing websites, models, prices, and customer reviews. I thought I wanted the largest prssing surface I could get at an affordable price. After countless hours of research I came back to the Singer because of their product reputation and customer reviews. I went with a name I knew and thought I could trust. I am not dissapointed. I sacrificed the added press size but have a great product. I have not used the steam feature. pnyc7 from Boston, MA, Rating:1.0The problem with this iron is it did not last four months. Yesterday while ironing, it went crazy, the heating element heated so high it burn't through my ironing pad just by placing it down for a moment, then shut off. I iron daily and never had this problem. This morning it beeped with an error message and that was it. Don't waste your money on this iron, not worth it in the long run, get something of quality!

hurricanehill from Manchester, Ohio, Rating:3.0The iron is lightweight and easy to handle -- although the stand is very impractical. There is no automatic shut off which is a negative in my mind. While the cord is detachable, I don't think this will work well for heavy duty ironing. The cord it too short. I do a lot ironing -- daily and like my iron, very hot and heavy to press out linen's.

handriesen from Marysville, WA, Rating:5.0Perfect hide away ironing board. When folded closed, the front has a framed mirror and the unit looks like a decorative addition to the wall. The shelves are small and may not store your iron but it is sturdy and worth the price. My husband poked a whole in the ironing board cover but no worries. He unscrewed the board from the wall unit and I replaced the cushion (after cutting to correct size). Screwed it back on and Bob's your uncle. Great buy!
