I bought two to replace the chairs I bought from O'stock 2-3 years ago - chairs that we rarely use were starting to fray at the seams. Comfortable? As most reviewers said, they are not the type of chair you can slouch and curl up on. The cushion is hard, much like that of a park bench. Maybe with use, they will get softer but I doubt it. Though, you may be able to unzip the cushions and refill with softer filling. The workmanship is fair to poor. The cut fabric under the piping at the corner of the front legs is not well fabricated. I can see an opening from the seam cut and sewn at the back and can put my finger thru the seat crease and touch the wood frame and foam, Good that the cushion covers it. If you hit the sharp edges of the legs, arms, the bare wood shows, so the wood is fairly soft. They are easy to put together but fortunately I bought two chairs because the cut out for one of the front legs was about 1/16" smaller. I went to get a hammer and was hoping that the wood would not split. Then it occured to me to try 1 of the legs from the other chair and they all fitted like a glove. Bottom line they are nice looking chairs as most reviewers noted. I like the classy, traditional look and they are not heavy to move to vacuum.

The chair is perfect. It was well made and looks absolutely great. As already said, it is not the most comfortable chair to sit in but I bought it for my bedroom and it will not be used very much. You can't go wrong with this chair for the price. If needed I will buy another. It arrived nicely packed and was easy to assemble

I bought two of these chairs for occasional use next to my fireplace. They visually blend in nicely but the quality could have been a bit better. I am sure some of the buyers have gotten better ones than others. The piping was turned in some areas so the seam shows. Some areas were dirty looking. Also, one of my chairs has two small cuts in the fabric front top right back, probably staple marks. I don't want to send back the chair and will live with that. I could not see how Overstock could replace or fix that.

I bought these chairs to put in a sun room and they are wonderful! They were easy to put together and the upholstery is very rich looking. The dark wood really sets the chairs off and they are comfortable too.

Very happy with this purchase. This is the second time we've purchased this chair. After the first one arrived we found we had enough space for another chair. One of our cats threw up on this beautiful cream colored chair. I was quite upset, but the chair cleaned up beautifully and you can't tell there was an incident.

While assebly was relatively easy, sitting on the chair is borderline painful. The cushions are hard and uncomfortable. The chair is made to be seen and not used. I would not recommend purchasing them if you need to sit on them. I would gladly have returned them if I hadn't already done the assembly and destroyed the boxes...big, big mistake!

It's a lovely chair, but is uncomfortable. The cushion is too thin and too firm. There isn't a lot of padding in the back rest. Bit mostly, you sit on the chair and don't sink in, you sit and think "oh, ugh, that is firm" in fact, I have heard that from a guest already. I bought two and sending them back is more of a hassle than it's worth. I wish I had just bought more expensive, nicer chairs in the first place rather than having uncomfortable cheap chairs in my living room. Live and learn.

I read all of the reviews of these chairs before ordering. They are in a little used room, so the fact that they aren't "comfy" didn't matter too much. They are definitely FIRM. The fabric is very nice and the style is exactly what I needed--something to bring my olde looke into this century. One person commented about cuttin the dust protector in order to install the legs. The manufacturer has added a zipper, so that is no longer a problem. My handy hubby had no problems putting the chairs together. I've added some decorative pillows to make the look just what I wanted--AND at a very reasonable price. Great find!

Needed accent chair, the decorator suggested chairs at $2000 ea. went on line to overstock and found similar chairs for $*** ea. No brainer. Took a chance they they would be OK and they are as good as the $2000 chair, love them. Easy to assemble, only had to screw in the legs....Great deal!

I bought two, one for each bedroom. They look beautiful and tied in well with bedding when I placed a lumbar pillow in the chair that matched the bedding. Assembly was easy but if you don't have a wrench set with a screwdriver handle, I would recommend you use pliers to turn the wrench as your fingers will get sore. I don't expect to sit often in the chairs although they feel comfortable and feel sturdy. I feel like I have walked into a 4 star hotel when I see these chairs in the bedrooms. Contemporary look that fit well with my decor.

I bought 2 chairs which are very easy to assemble, except one leg kinda off position which took us extra few more minutes to re-drill the hole. They look exactly like the picture - elegant, sturdy, nice expressor stain along the edge/armrest. However, the fabric and the light cream color of the seated custion which I am afraid would get dirty easily. So I place them in my bedroom for display only. By the way, they look really nice but not comfortable.

The chair is ok. I ordered two for my livingroom. They were larger than I expected. They are comfortable chairs if you place a pillow in them to support your back. They are light weight chairs so I'm not sure how they are going to hold up with my teenage boys. Everyone that has come to my home loves the look of the chairs. I don't think they are really meant for daily use, but if you are using them more for decoration in a room that doesn't have lots of traffic, they will work for you. I don't regret buying them, but had I been able to see and try them out before hand, I probably would have purchased something else

I have been looking for some cream chairs with dark wood trim and I love these chairs only thing I was not happy with was the cushion they did not push all the way into the chair so there is a little space between the cushion and the backing of the chair , and there were some small scrathes on the wood otherwise I was very pleased

I sit in this chair rarely and have had it for a while. It arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. It is easy to keep clean as I have pets who do sit in the chair and shed but the chair is a clean as it was when it arrived. I have no complaints about the chair.
