Excellent rug pad
OK, I'm on a jag putting new pads under our old rugs. This one, the "premium," is the best so far, just a nicer feel than the "superior" rug pad. That was my big question, and I have to figure someone else is wondering as well. This one is lovely, cuts easily enough, rates five stars from a picky woman. Makes a huge difference in how things feel underfoot, and after using these I would not even consider the thin "webby" rug pads.

Premium Hard Surface and Carpet Rug Pad (8' x 10')
The rug pad runs a little larger so you are able to cut one side to truly fit your rug perfectly. I probably cut off 3/4 inch on one side. I ordered another rug pad first which was a bit cheaper, and am much happier with this rug pad's size and quality.

A Great Find!
This pad is really high quality and does just what it says. I am using it on carpet with a heavy Chinese wool area rug over it. The area rug now stays in place and feels wonderful to walk on. The dining room table and chairs are on top of the rug and, believe it or not, the chairs move more easily with the rug on the pad than they did without the pad. The pad was a little too big and I had to trim it with a box cutter. I couldn't manage it with scissors because of the thickness of the pad. Pad is very heavy and it took two people to manage the 8 x 10 size.

Tough to cut
This rug pad is pretty darn ugly, but you aren't buying it for it's looks, that's the rug's job. However, it is excellent quality and does exactly what I want it to. My beautiful (and expensive) area rugs are extremely comfortable to walk on (especially the one that is directly on a concrete floor), in large part because of this rug pad. It's a bear to cut down to size, so I suggest going to a parts store and asking for a heavy-duty pair of scissors. We did and spent a little more than ten bucks for a pair, thank goodness too. Without those scissors, cutting all four rug pads might have killed our hands and equipment. I do suggest cutting down the rug an inch or so inside the rug's parameter. It will help make your foot's transition from rug to floor easier because the pad is pretty thick. Another great thing about this rug pad, is that the rug simply doesn't move, so the rubberized bottom works perfectly. I'm not worried about rugs moving in the high-traffic parts of my home.

Rug pad
Pad was bigger than ordered. Had to cut about two inches off to fit rug. The pad was thick and seems durable. Still was happy with pad. The pad was delivered about a week after receiving the rug.

High Quality
I ordered this rug pad as a gift for my daughter who has hard wood floors and she just bought an expensive area rug. The pad is generously sized and heavy enough that it should stay in place and not "walk" around the floor. She is very happy with the product.

good pad for the cost
The pad was not only a good value but when they put it on sale the next week and I called Overstock about it, they credited me the difference. Love shopping with Overstock!

The rug pad mad e the rug feel great.
The rug pad was slightly larger than the rug but it was easy to trim. It is thick and I am sure it will protect our dining room floor better than the prior pad which ended up stuck to the wooden floor. The pad makes our new area rug seem even thicker. It is nice to walk on.

Awesome rug pad
I was very impressed by the quality of this rug pad. It is considerably cheaper on Overstock than in home decor stores and hardware stores. It has a nice thickness that keeps your rug in place while giving you extra comfort. Definite thumbs up on this product.
