The quality of the patio umbrella leaves a lot to be desired. The material on parts of the umbrella itself were worn in places. The staining on the shaft & piece on top look like they were done by a blind man. I guess I will have to find the time to restain them. The price was excellent, but the product wasn't.

i ordered this for my rooftop in Venice, CA where it gets misty. the wood is a nice dark color and assembled easily. the umbrella itself is a great color, but the material is not that thick Sunbrella goodness. its on the lighter/thinner side, but DEF gets the job done. i've seen other umbrellas for close to $300, so for a third that price, i am pleased.

I Purchased 2. They arrived quickly and looked great and seemed to be quality made. The very next day was a moderately windy day, but umbrellas were shielded from the wind. The one least exposed to the wind snapped and broke (go figure) ... the other held up fine and still looks great -.maybe just a fluke. All the packing containers had already been thrown away or I would have taken the time to return. Life is too short and full for the hastle. If the manufacturer would like to send a replacement, I'll gladly send the broken one back and make a follow-up review of the product : )

I bought this umbrella a year ago and left it outside for the rainy season which should not have been a problem. The pully system cord completed disintegrated and the White Umbrella attracked mold and mildew like flies. If you need to bring this out door umbrella in for the winter then its not an outdoor umbrella

I thought the material would be much thicker and constructed better - it is very thin and looks like it will tear easily, especially where the seams meet. The positive on this umbrella is the wood pole with the pulley system. I would be surprised if this umbrella lasted longer than one summer.

We've been looking for a patio umbrella. Found one on Overstock for a wonderful price. Couldn't be more pleased with the color and quality.

I liked the umbrella and it is made well but the color faded faster than you would think. I have had it only a few months and the top of the umbrella makes it look as though I have had it for a few years.

This was the second umbrella we purchased because we like the first one so much. Well constructed, beautiful blue color. And great price. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Very nice, sturdy construction. Looks really good on my deck! The pole was slightly bowed, but I imagine that might be a problem sometimes with wood?? But, it was very minor and did not affect the look or functionality.

Loved this umbrella when purchased the color was a fantastic shade of blue. Had to waterproof twice. This is a shade umbrella not water proof. Unfortunately, the umbrella pole snapped with a moderate wind and is unusable. If not in use I would recommend always keeping the umbrella down. We purchased because we thought the wooden pole would be strong but NOT the case.

The wood slat broke after about a week. We repaired it only to have the others break. It was a beautiful color but that's about all it had going. It lasted less than a week. Very disappointing.

So disappointed in this product. Purchased in April 2009 and live in Nebraska. The slats were warped, lasted through our 4 month summer and was stored in a garage. I fixed the broken slat over the winter only to be met with a cord that was rotted. I tried to repair that but it just broke tonite. I think a product of this price should last longer that 3 months. I would not recommend this

We've had this umbrella up for over a month and have had no problems with it. The quality is good and the color (navy) is as shown online. I've accidently left it up in stronger winds than I normally would and it held up well. We raise and lower it almost daily and have not had any problem with cracks in the wood or with operation of the umbrella. We also purchased a cast iron stand from overstock that it works well with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting a nice but not expensive umbrella. If you want something a little sturdier in high wind areas, aluminum might be the way to go.

I was excited to receive my new patio umbrella and it looked nice for a day. The second day I opened it, I noticed one of the wooden spokes was broken! Now I have that spoke secured with wood glue and a clamp, not so pretty. I don't think it was cracked when I first put it up so am not sure how it happened. I am assuming there was a flaw in that one piece of wood. If you order this product, please be sure to inspect it closely
