Premium 9-foot Round Patio Umbrella with Stand

I will tell you that the umbrella itself is a very nice quality material. I didn't realize that it doesn't tilt and I was disappointed in that. I will also be sure to bring it in during the winter months because the pole is wood. It can be a bit difficult to open the umbrella. The stand is very nice. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

This umbrella and stand was the worst buy I ever made on Overstock. I bought 2 umbrellas and 2 stands 1 year ago. Stand screws that hold umbrellas in place broke after couple of months. One umbrella did not last a summer. Second one is still alive (lucky me). I would not recommend this to anyone.

The 2 parts were not delivered at the same time. Perhaps a week went by before the stand was delivered. A bit tedious trying to find out if it had been lost or was shipped. But the staff was very good at helping to get things right. The umbrella has performed quite well so far but material is a bit thin. The stand is heavy and sturdy but ugly. Just plain black metel filled with cement. Kind of industrial looking. A bit overpriced for the quality of materials.

You can't see it in the pictures or read it in the description, but this umbrella is made of finger-jointed wood stock. In less than one week, ours suffered a broken rib as a result of nothing more than opening and closing it. The problem is that the ribs are not solid, single pieces of wood. They made from scraps glued together, effectively. One of these glued joints falls right at a particular stress point in the design and let go. I've reglued it for now, but know that it won't hold. The rest of it is not very solid looking. The canopy fabric is light and gauzy almost. This thing would never survive if you left it open in a strong wind.
