I will tell you that the umbrella itself is a very nice quality material. I didn't realize that it doesn't tilt and I was disappointed in that. I will also be sure to bring it in during the winter months because the pole is wood. It can be a bit difficult to open the umbrella. The stand is very nice. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

This umbrella and stand was the worst buy I ever made on Overstock. I bought 2 umbrellas and 2 stands 1 year ago. Stand screws that hold umbrellas in place broke after couple of months. One umbrella did not last a summer. Second one is still alive (lucky me). I would not recommend this to anyone.

The 2 parts were not delivered at the same time. Perhaps a week went by before the stand was delivered. A bit tedious trying to find out if it had been lost or was shipped. But the staff was very good at helping to get things right. The umbrella has performed quite well so far but material is a bit thin. The stand is heavy and sturdy but ugly. Just plain black metel filled with cement. Kind of industrial looking. A bit overpriced for the quality of materials.

You can't see it in the pictures or read it in the description, but this umbrella is made of finger-jointed wood stock. In less than one week, ours suffered a broken rib as a result of nothing more than opening and closing it. The problem is that the ribs are not solid, single pieces of wood. They made from scraps glued together, effectively. One of these glued joints falls right at a particular stress point in the design and let go. I've reglued it for now, but know that it won't hold. The rest of it is not very solid looking. The canopy fabric is light and gauzy almost. This thing would never survive if you left it open in a strong wind.

Extremely nice umbrella. Its a beautiful fabric (like a resort umbrella), the wood pole is attractive & sturdy. The fact that the heavy metal stand is included is a bonus. I would have paid this price for just the quality umbrella. Its amazing that you can have this delivered to your home at such a minimal delivery charge considering the size & weight of it. Its not a crank umbrella, you need to adjust it manually by putting a link into one of the holes (there are, I think, 3 options). It didn't come with direction & it took a few minutes for us to figure out that the heavy plastic piece screws into the base, then the wood pole goes into that (that may be obvious for some, not us though). Anyway, we use it on our back patio often to keep the sun off the kids on hot days. It serves the purpose & is very elegant. Great Price for what you get!

this is made from cheap materials. one was broken in the box. i move them in and out everyday, and each day something feels like its going to break. its just a matter of time before i throw them all it the trash.

We are very pleased with this umbrella and stand. It raises and lowers so much easier than the hand-crank one and looks really classy, too! I would certainly recommend it!

The screw than supposed to hold the stand steady does almost nothing and looks/feels like it's about to break. The whole thing looks like it was broken and fixed, quite clumsily. Not what I expected at all. And does not look like the picture on the website.

These umbrellas and stands were a good find! I don't want a permanent patio cover as I want the light to come in the windows so this large umbrella and sturdy base are ideal for us. Easy to put up and bring down and they provide welcome shade from the desert sun.

The umbrella is exactly as described...but the stand....is fantastic! It is so heavy, there is no way the wind will blow this one over! Very pleased with this item and of course the fast, easy transaction makes overstock my favorite place to shop!

this is a great product--excellent quality and seems to be very durable. the base is very heavy cast metal w/ shipping wt of 50 lbs. fortunately i ordered when there was $2.98 shipping. have only had this a few weeks, so i am not able to comment on how it holds up to extreme weather--i will probably remove it to the garage when extreme weather is predicted and for the winter.

My only complaint is that our neighbors just purchased a similar patio umbrella, and that umbrella looks a little nicer/more refined (and I think they paid less!).
