We've had this set of pans for a few weeks now, and they are very heavy, but have performed well. I used to be a big fan of non-stick pans but was surprised at how great 18/10 stainless steel could perform. These pans are also very durable and easy to clean. I love them. I searched for a long time before deciding on this stainless steel cookware set. I was also leary of the inexpensive price. I'm thrilled I bought them. Beatiful, excellent quality, especially for the price. I didn't have $500.00 to invest in new cookware and I'm teaching myself gormet cooking.

Shipping was fast, it was well-packaged, no damage. Performed very nicely for my Christmas cooking, cleaned up easily. I was pleasantly surprised to see the maker guarantees the set for 20 years, which means it will probably out-last me! The only negative was one of the lids' handle/knob sits uneven, and isn't fixable by removing and re-tightening it. Still, I don't think I could've gotten any better quality without paying much more, and I'm well-satisfied!

This set is VERY shiny.. its almost like staring into a mirror, and with overhead lights, OUCH! :) Its very pretty though. One of the pot's lids came broken. It was pretty disappointing, and it leads me to believe that these pots may not be as high quality as I had thought. Other than that, I have not had any problems with using them. Overall, they are nice enough, but I probably will not make an online purchase of pots again. :/

I diligently read the literature on the box this all came in and it promised to be pots and pans to last a life time- or at least the 20 years they are guaranteed. I have to say after using them for two month one pan and one pot have bowed bottoms, and they are getting more difficult to clean. Its as though a finish is wearing away. I'm debating about sending the whole lot back- one pan came with a bent lip, two pot cover handles were loose. Its not quite the pot of gold they promised. They are definitely fair to midland.

I usually like to see and feel things before buying them online, but I took a chance this time based on review here. This set is much better that I thought it would be. These pans and bots are quality heavy and are better quality than the stainless steel cookware set that I purchased in the mall last year. I love this cookware and I am not putting it in dishwasher as I don't want to dull the finish even though they are dishwasher safe.

I purchased these as an Xmas gift for my wife. She just loves using them. They are highly buffed and ploished stainless steel and they clean up easily after use. The neatest feature is the thermometer built into every lid. Very nice pot set, and worth every penny.

I BOUGHT A SET OF THESE ABOUT A YEAR AGO FOR MY SON. MY SET WAS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THIS ONE,BUT MINE HAD A TEMPETURE GAGE ENCASED IN THE LID KNOB. I BELIEVE THESE ARE MADE IN GERMANY?? THE BEST SET OF STAINLESS STEEL POTS I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. HEAVY DUTY,CLEANS UP GREAT.THE ONE THING I WOULD NOTE IS YOUR INFO DOESN'T STATE WHERE THIS SET IS MANUFACTURED.

I ordered a set and a few pieces were defective. Overstock customer service sent new pieces and I now have a perfect set. The problem I had was one pan had dents on the rim and another pot a visible seam and a few lids had crooked knobs. They replaced these at no addl charge. I did find out later I could carefully unscrew the knobs and reset them although it wasn't the easiest of tasks since there were 4 pieces to the knob's construction.Food cooks evenly and the set cleans up well. It is a steal of a deal in my opinion even with the aggravation of the few pieces that had to be replaced.

Glad I got this when I did as I see it is sold out now, was going to buy another set for a friend. I bought this as my old set was warn out really badly. I love that these feel sturdy and are easy to clean.

I ordered two of these sets for my married children this Chirstmas. Both couples are so very happy with the set they received. They feel they will last them a lifetime. They are heavy and my daughter was thrilled to discover how quickly they began cooking compared to her old set that did not set firmly on the stove top. They are both happy at how pretty the set is as well. As for me, I was so happy to be able to find them something they wanted, and needed, at a price that was affordable. Plus, being able to send them directly to their homes with no shipping fee was truly a factor that made this gifr possible for each of them. Thanks Overstock!!!

We purchased this set of pots and pans to use on our new induction stove but we are very disappointed with the quality and are returning the set. <=> After reading the other reviews I was a little worried about the lid knobs being damaged in transport. It turns out that the entire set is of such poor quality that they looked like they had been made that way. The plastic heat insulators are made of a material similar to bakelite, and there are many crooked pieces and chipped & cracked edges that can only result from poor quality design or manufacturing. The handles are made of very thin metal and filled with plastic. I would never have purchased ANY pans built like this for ANY price. <=> The packaging and printing suggested that they were made in Germany - or at least by a German company, but I am fluent in German and my wife is from Germany, and we immediately noticed many spelling and grammatical errors. Even the metal stamped bottom of the pans themselves have an obvious incorrect spelling in the largest words. <=> I was unable to find an clear source country on the pans or in the packaging. <=> O'stock suggests that these are comparable to a set available at another retailer. However, those show photos of thermometers in the lids while this set has only plastic inserts. <=> I can only recommend avoiding this cookware.

My grandson is looking for his own apartment and needs the essentials. This cookware will be my Christmas gift to him. I had it shipped directly to my daughter and asked her to check it for damage because several people reported that the lid knobs were broken. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. My daughter said that if I had told her I spent $300 on this set, she would have believed it. She wants a set for herself but her husband insists on glass lids and these are metal. The pots have an "ear" like handle on one side and this makes it perfect when having to pour or just move; something to grab on both sides. The pots are 18/10 stainelsss and so has some weight to it and should make for very even cooking. If I didn't already have a good set of cookware, I would be buying this for myself.

Personally, I have owned the high quality non-stick cookware as well as stainless steel cookware. In my opinion, stainless steel cleans up nearly as easily non-stick cookware. You do clean it differently. This stainless steel is hard and strong. It has great heat distribution and rapid heating allows you use lower heat setting thus saving energy and money. Pans are bottom heavy. They will not tip as easily as lighter weight pans. Good quality overall.

I'm on the fence with these. The bases are very heavy, but the body of the pans seems overly lightweight. They're pretty, and we used them over Thanksgiving, but something just isn't a 5-star rating to me. I can't really put my finger on it - or maybe it's just the fact that a butter knife was enough to put scratches on the pan in the first use. I wish the pans could be used in the oven (they have some plastic on the handles) but the handles stay nice and cool while cooking. See through lids would've been a bonus, but there is nothing wrong with the set. Like all pots/pans of this type, they discolor and require a non-scratch cleaner (Bon Ami, Barkeeper's Friend). They did clean right up when you use it, though.

The pots are nice looking and heavy. The design is somewhat bulky, more aimed at aesthetics than actual necessity. The lid handles sit somewhat crooked on the lid, enough to be noticeable.

I have had this set for several months. It looks just as good as it did when I bought it. It cleans up really nice. If you like to cook, this is the set you need. I use mine everyday and have really put it to the test. I highly recommend this cookware to anyone. I give it an Excellent rating!

The heat is even and you get great results at low temps. Clean up is not as bad as I anticipated. For the money you can't go wrong. The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is they are slightly heavy and I can't always turn out a large pan into a serving dish without a second set of hands or scooping it out by the spoonful.

My husband & I gave this set to my daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it! It's a nice heavy weight (but not too heavy) that cooks evenly. She loves the side handles on the pots verses one single long handle. Very good quality set of cookware for an excellent price. I have a Farberware set that I've been using for nearly 27 years (it is that wonderful!). As a die-hard Farberware fan-I found myself surprised by the fact that I could easily trade it for this one.

We purchased this set based on the positive reviews, and have not been disappointed. To be honest, I was a little concerned before it arrived. We've now had our pots and pans for over a month, through a lot of cooking, and they've been great. For the price, I don't think we could find better. First, they seem much more solidly built than I expected, and seem very sturdy. They heat evenly for what we've used them for, and quickly. The variety of sizes is nice for different types of dishes. The handles are relatively cool. They clean easy enough, typical of stainless steel. All in all, we're very happy with these. They get the job done!
