This is my first inverter, so my experience is limited, but it works fine so far. One thing I noticed is that it creates a mild buzzing sound in my audio receiver. I read one site that says this was caused by cheap inverters, and another that said it was a cheap power supply in my receiver (but the reciever has no buzz when plugged into a wall...so....)But overall it seems to do the job. Although that watt meter is bogus...I get two huge speakers and the receiver blasting music down the street, and it says I'm using 20 watts!
I was in need of of an inverter since I am a mobile nurse that spends a lot of time in my car each day. I bought this inverter to run my laptop, printer and other electronic devices. It worked great for a month and then there was a weird smell that started coming out of it. Not to much later did the unit stop working. I called the manufacturer to see if there was anything that i might be able to do to get the inverter to work again. They seemed to have very little knowledge of how their product operated and told me that it must of been soemthing i had done to it. Since i didnt have the time to argue with them because I needed an inverter for my job I bought another inverter that works great.
love it! I had a little trouble getting it installed at first, but i called up CS and walked me though it.
I read the two reviews and thought that thois unit would be good quality for the price. It worked great in the beginning and then a fault light would come on 2 or 3 minutes into operation. The load I was powering was on 650 watts. I then bought a differnt 1000 watt inverter and it works fine. Maybe i just got a bad unit.
