I have been wanting a good Cast Iron Dutch Oven but was held back by the price of most of the ones I was looking. This really what I wanted at a reasonable price. Thanks, Sandra Lee.

How many pans do we go through over the years with a family? I have to say I was tired of throwing out pots and pans that had the coating peel after just a few uses! These by Paula Deen are by far my favorite I have ever used! The food cooks perfectly and evenly and they are so beautiful to look at as well! Thanks so much, I can't wait to get the whole set! This pan's cooking surface is not completely flat, so oil will spread out in a ring around the outer most edge of the pan. This can be a pain to some, but we were happy to see that at least the bottom of the pan is nice and flat so we get even heating on our smooth-top stove (non-induction). The cooking surface also came slightly scratched, which leads me to believe this won't be a very durable pan. As long as we get a few months of use out of it I'll be happy, given the reasonable price. We bought this with the expectation that if it doesn't last until we get an induction unit (or doesn't work as well as it claims with an induction unit) we'll just replace it at that time with something higher-end.

These skillets are smaller than you may realize. The smallest one is big enough to fry an egg in with a little bit a room for the spatula to get under iT. overall they are pretty nice seem well built and they are definitely not seasoned so you will have to season them yourself.
