  • Awesome

I bought this in 2012, it's still going strong, no bends or breaks at all and it's been through A LOT! That's all I'm going to say about "A LOT". But totally worth every penny! And perfect for those who want to only display the bed..

  • Functional

We kept this because we had company coming & no time to get something else but this it way to tall to be considered a "platform". Wish I would have sent it back.

  • Great Bedframe- highly recommend

Arrived quickly in one light box, I opened and assembled it myself (I'm 39, female, in reasonable shape). It's in two pieces- you just unfold each half, adjust the support legs and twist the wingnuts tight, flip it over, attach in the middle with a SUPER easy attachment that is very effective, and put your mattress on top! I think the whole process took about 15 minutes from box to lying on the bed to test it out. Of course we are using a bedskirt because it is 14 inches high and has metal legs, and it offers a great place to shove stuff under for storage (2 suitcases and a whole bunch of other stuff). So the ONLY thing I have to say negative about this product is that it is all metal- and with the bedskirt, it is "slippery" so the mattress can slide around. I am wishing that they put some kind of rubberized coating on the crossbars to keep the mattress in place. So every morning when I make the bed I just feel around the edges and gently slide it back into place if it has moved a little.

  • not meant for all beds

With all due respect to the manufactures of this particular item, I had actually got rid of my box spring and I had purchased a brand new 8 inch memory foam mattress. That mattress protruded into the metal and that was probably because the mattress did not have a substance to it for properly shield me from the bars. Having said that, I'm sure that this thing is old 2500 pounds, at the same time it also makes a noise when you move around, so if you have a partner or wife girlfriend husband boyfriend any of those things, any moments of intimacy are going to be noted on that platform you're going to hear a squeaky sound. I'm only saying that because I read other reviews that discuss matters like this as long as the wording is appropriate believe you will be posted. I hope people really listen to what I'm saying on the street view, or you will be very frustrated un un happy. We will also have to pay 20 dollars to ship it back.

  • Exactly what I needed

Recently my fiance and I moved into the converted attic of an old row house in Washington DC. The staircase and hallway were far too narrow for a queen box spring and I was not willing to downsize to a full. I considered a bed with slats but a quality slat frame was pretty expensive. Then I found this platform bed frame. I could not be happier. It folds flat for easy transport, was very simple to set up, and is QUIET. Our previous frame and box spring was noisy when we moved around at night. This one is very quiet no matter what we're doing. I strongly recommend this frame. We have had it for about a month now with no complaints. I will update if any problems arise. Oh, and the storage space underneath the bed is awesome! So much more clearance than a traditional frame.

  • Excellent - love the extra storage this provides!

Was skeptical about buying this as opposed to the old-school box spring, but am really liking this arrangement now. There's a ton more space between the underside of the bed & the floor than there was with my traditional box spring, thus providing a ton of extra under-bed storage. (There's also the added bonus of there being room under the bed for my large-ish dog to squeeze under during thunderstorms.... awesome!!) So far the bed frame seems sturdy and well-made. We've been sleeping on it in our guest room for a few weeks now while doing renovations on our master bedroom, and no complaints thus far.

  • Just as it appears

Bought this for a 10 in foam mattress that we purchased and it was super easy to put together, works great with the mattress and is a good option if you don't have a lot of money to invest on a frame. You can always add a headboard at a later date.

    • Thank you for your question lindamemphis. We are unable to disclose the manufacturer of some of our products; however, stands behind every product we sell. When necessary we can contact suppliers if a product issue arises. Have a great day.

  • Hi, I tried looking for the # 14321157 brackets and couldn't find them. What brackets should I buy for this bed frame? And is there a specific bed skirt sizing I should look for since the bed frame is taller than most (I would like the skirt to touch the floor)? Thank you

    • No brackets to buy, there's two rounded stubbed out that fall into a built in bracket. One one right side upper, and the second (for the queen like I purchased), is lower on the opposite side. They just slide in to the space in the frame, locking the two sides together. No exterior brackets... slide into space..

  • Dos this frame have holes to attach a headboard?

    • Hello collinsave, you will need these brackets #14018901. This bed frame does not have screw holes for a head or foot board so those are the brackets you would need. Have a great day!

    • Yes. You will need to build one to the completely assembled dimensions.... so build and measure. Easy to disassemble and re-assemble.

    • You mention that I need to buy brackets #14018901. They do not exist. In any event it is impossible to attach any headboard to this frame.

    • Hello collinsave, unfortunately the brackets are currently out of stock. You can view the listing and enter you email address to be notified once they are restocked with the link below. The brackets appear to be made to accommodate most any headboard. Thanks again for shopping with us.

  • I purchased this bed and # 14321157 brackets, The enclosed screws will not fit through the bed frame holes. The holes in the bed frame are pre threaded and none of the screws sent with the brackets fit

    • Hello justlemmon, Thank you for your inquiry; you will be contacted by Customer Care.

  • Does this bed frame easily accommodate a bed skirt? I'm looking for a low bed but all of the wooden ones are prices so I thought I'd check out the cost of this with a bed skirt and make the $ call =)

    • Hello monalisa537, yes a bed skirt would work on this bed frame. Thank you for shopping with us.

    • My queen size skirt fit perfectly over the completely assembled frame, then on top of that I put 5 inch foam, and every one sleeps like a rock (houseguests.

  • i have a platform 'floating' bed that I purchased and the slats keep falling, with any 'activity'. would these frame fit inside the frame of my floating bed if i removed the center bracket and slats??

    • Thank you for contacting us tessjanea. These frames are designed to fit inside most beds. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

  • Regarding the brackets for the headboard and footboard. You have to order #14321157 ones from a different manufacturer and they will fit?

    • Hello otterkill, the brackets on Item #14321157 should attach to any conventional headboard or footboard using these powder-coated steel brackets. Thank you for shopping with us.

  • Could you please list the differences among the DuraBed queen, steel platform bed, the Pragma queen, steel platform bed and the Posture Support queen, steel platform bed? They all appear to look the same in the photos.

    • Hello jerseystrong, Yes, they do look very much the same but they all come from different sources and have different model numbers. After reviewing the info on all the beds again, we recommend going with the bed that has the most and best feedback, and the best price value for you. Thank you from shopping with us.

  • what is the distance between the mounted headboard brackets? i need to know this measurement so i can figure out if my headboard hardware holes/hardware will line up with the bed frame for mounting. thanks.

    • Hello pbsumatra99, I do not have the distance but the brackets are adjustable and fit most head boards. You will need to purchase the brackets separately though. Item#14321157 Thank you for shopping with us!

  • 1)Are all of the legs inset, as the pictures show? 2)Are any of the legs flush with the edge of the bed (where I will wake my husband cussing a blue streak because I've stubbed my toe)? 3)Are you super sure all the legs are inset? If so, may I suggest you add this to your description for people looking for diabetic friendly bed frames. Thanks. I appreciate whomever is answering these questions.

    • Thank you for contacting us barbara900, unfortunately this item is out of stock. We currently do not have inventory to check, and cannot guarantee the item will be restocked. I attached the link to some others. Please let us know if you have any further question.

  • How much clearance is under the frame? I'm looking for space to put boxes under a higher bedframe like I have in my bedroom (about 13" clearance on that one). Thanks!

    • This frame is 14? tall, so a 13? clearance is pretty accurate. Please let me know if you have any further question.

  • Could the frame be seperated in the center to support 2 twin size mattress instead of a queen?

    • No- It would be best to buy 2 separate twin size frames or invest in a King size frame. (measurements varies on all sizes).

  • Is it possible/advisable to put box springs and a mattress on top of this frame?

    • This bed can hold up to 2000 pounds, so it?s up to the customer?s discretion if they want to use a box spring or not. However, people buy this frame so that they don?t have to use a box spring, but again, it?s up to the customer.

  • Will this hold an inflatable queen mattress comfortably? We want this for our temporary guests and I want to make sure they can't feel the bars underneath the Coleman air mattress and that the mattress will not slide off:)

    • It is not recommended.

    • Some Reviewers indicated they used plywood and/or additional cushioning to protect their air mattress. Some others indicated that it is great (I'm not sure if this one or the Durabrand one - but they look the same with this one having better reviews.

  • I have a bedframe already, but the slats have all broke. I want to use this in place on a box spring with my current bedframe. Can this fit inside a bedframe, or is this made to substitute for a bedframe only?

    • I would say it depends on the dimensions. The dimensions of this frame are 14 inches high x 60 inches wide x 80 inches long. Check to see if that fits inside your existing frame.

  • Q1 I want to attach to our headboard. Can this be done if I purchase the metal frame you sell? Also Q2 can mattress be put on a regular box spring?

    • Your headboard should attach to these frames. Our frames are designed to accommodate most headboards. You will have to purchase the brackets, as brackets do not come with the frame. I refer you to item # 14321157 for that. Also, a box spring is not really needed for this bed, if there is any question on whether you can use you mattress with a regular box spring.

  • You say a headboard cannot be affixed to the frame- I am assuming the frame does not have a pre-defined design to add a headboard. However, I have a question I am certain will help many like-minded creative people if answered correctly. Q: 1. Is the frame constructed in a way that a crafty person can create her/his custom fittings (ie., alignment, material density & area measurement ajacent to headboard base? In other words how "user friendly" is the construction and can the design be manipulated without losing intregity? I am not asking for advice, just the facts which will help me determine Yeay or Neay on the frame's potential. Q. 2. Also, please post the skeletal measurements~ height, width, depth of individual bars/rails plus, (metal material's circumference & density in mm or cm)? I only need measurements of the frame's end where headboard normally connects to framework(point to point including outer, upper, lower and center legs/mid bars etc.,) O'stock- Please try to answer Q entirely. I know I am asking for detailed information which means extra effort on your part and I appreciate your effort, greatly.

    • Thank you for your inquiry. We are researching this information and will post a response shortly.

    • This bed frame does have an available headboard bracket. Unfortunately, we do not have the additional dimensions you are requesting such as the depth of individual bars/rails or their circumference and density.
