Feel the difference with this steel queen bed platform. This durable frame can hold up to 3000 pounds and is finished with a stylish, modern design. Pair with a luxurious memory foam mattress or simply use to spruce up your old mattress....more
Arrived quickly in one light box, I opened and assembled it myself (I'm 39, female, in reasonable shape). It's in two pieces- you just unfold each half, adjust the support legs and twist the wingnuts tight, flip it over, attach in the middle with a SUPER easy attachment that is very effective, and put your mattress on top!
I think the whole process took about 15 minutes from box to lying on the bed to test it out.
Of course we are using a bedskirt because it is 14 inches high and has metal legs, and it offers a great place to shove stuff under for storage (2 suitcases and a whole bunch of other stuff). So the ONLY thing I have to say negative about this product is that it is all metal- and with the bedskirt, it is "slippery" so the mattress can slide around. I am wishing that they put some kind of rubberized coating on the crossbars to keep the mattress in place. So every morning when I make the bed I just feel around the edges and gently slide it back into place if it has moved a little.

With all due respect to the manufactures of this particular item, I had actually got rid of my box spring and I had purchased a brand new 8 inch memory foam mattress. That mattress protruded into the metal and that was probably because the mattress did not have a substance to it for properly shield me from the bars. Having said that, I'm sure that this thing is old 2500 pounds, at the same time it also makes a noise when you move around, so if you have a partner or wife girlfriend husband boyfriend any of those things, any moments of intimacy are going to be noted on that platform you're going to hear a squeaky sound. I'm only saying that because I read other reviews that discuss matters like this as long as the wording is appropriate believe you will be posted. I hope people really listen to what I'm saying on the street view, or you will be very frustrated un un happy. We will also have to pay 20 dollars to ship it back.

Recently my fiance and I moved into the converted attic of an old row house in Washington DC. The staircase and hallway were far too narrow for a queen box spring and I was not willing to downsize to a full. I considered a bed with slats but a quality slat frame was pretty expensive. Then I found this platform bed frame. I could not be happier. It folds flat for easy transport, was very simple to set up, and is QUIET. Our previous frame and box spring was noisy when we moved around at night. This one is very quiet no matter what we're doing.
I strongly recommend this frame. We have had it for about a month now with no complaints. I will update if any problems arise. Oh, and the storage space underneath the bed is awesome! So much more clearance than a traditional frame.

Was skeptical about buying this as opposed to the old-school box spring, but am really liking this arrangement now. There's a ton more space between the underside of the bed & the floor than there was with my traditional box spring, thus providing a ton of extra under-bed storage. (There's also the added bonus of there being room under the bed for my large-ish dog to squeeze under during thunderstorms.... awesome!!) So far the bed frame seems sturdy and well-made. We've been sleeping on it in our guest room for a few weeks now while doing renovations on our master bedroom, and no complaints thus far.

Bought this for a 10 in foam mattress that we purchased and it was super easy to put together, works great with the mattress and is a good option if you don't have a lot of money to invest on a frame. You can always add a headboard at a later date.

I bought this bed frame for my 14 yr. old grand daughter. Delivery time was fast, and the package arrived in good condition. My grand daughter put the bed frame together in a few minutes by herself. The mattress was put on top of the platform bed frame and it feels solid and sturdy. She has slept on it for 2 nights and reports no squeaks or noise of any kind. She also reports very good support , and has slept very well.It sets 14 inches off the floor which allows storage space beneath the bed if needed. Comes in 2 parts which allows for twin beds or connected makes queen size. You can attach a headboard to it if desired. It folds up and would make moving the bed a easy task. It's made of steel and good quality that will last for years and years. We are delighted with this product. This set up is perfect as we had the mattress and was stressing about getting box springs to complete her bed. This platform bed frame was the greatest solution. This is the way to go ! LOVE it !
I purchased this frame to put my new memory foam mattress on. It arrived in a square box weighing 42lbs. I was able to get it inside and bring the pieces into the room. I had the frame fully assembled and my bed made up in less than 20 minutes. If you want a simple and sturdy bedframe I think you'll be happy with this purchase! I just unfolded the two sections fastened the legs with wingnuts (that were already on the frame so no hunting around for the small parts bag in a huge box.(one of my biggest pet peeves is being short a part when I need to assemble an item.) To attach the two sections there's two places that attach and it's ready to go. This paired with an 8"memory foam mattress is a great height, no boxspring required.
I received this frame and week ago and it only took me 5 min to set up. It is great so far. No squeaking at all. I can get off the bed without disturbing my partner because of the type of mattress that I have. It is one of those memory foam mattresses. I jumped on the bed several times and it did not move either. When I put the frame together, one of the middle screws was knocking against the socket you placed it in, but that knocking went away once I put my mattress on it. So I highly recommend it.
Hi, I tried looking for the # 14321157 brackets and couldn't find them. What brackets should I buy for this bed frame? And is there a specific bed skirt sizing I should look for since the bed frame is taller than most (I would like the skirt to touch the floor)?
Thank youshweetness on Dec 24, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
No brackets to buy, there's two rounded stubbed out that fall into a built in bracket. One one right side upper, and the second (for the queen like I purchased), is lower on the opposite side. They just slide in to the space in the frame, locking the two sides together. No exterior brackets... slide into space..pinonchick on Dec 26, 2013
Hello collinsave, you will need these brackets #14018901. This bed frame does not have screw holes for a head or foot board so those are the brackets you would need. Have a great day! overstockcustomercare1 on Dec 23, 2013
Yes. You will need to build one to the completely assembled dimensions.... so build and measure. Easy to disassemble and re-assemble.pinonchick on Dec 26, 2013
You mention that I need to buy brackets #14018901. They do not exist. In any event it is impossible to attach any headboard to this frame.collinsave on Jan 9, 2014

1)Are all of the legs inset, as the pictures show?
2)Are any of the legs flush with the edge of the bed (where I will wake my husband cussing a blue streak because I've stubbed my toe)?
3)Are you super sure all the legs are inset? If so, may I suggest you add this to your description for people looking for diabetic friendly bed frames.

Is it possible/advisable to put box springs and a mattress on top of this frame?kazper007 on Dec 17, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
This bed can hold up to 2000 pounds, so it’s up to the customer’s discretion if they want to use a box spring or not. However, people buy this frame so that they don’t have to use a box spring, but again, it’s up to the customer.

I have a bedframe already, but the slats have all broke. I want to use this in place on a box spring with my current bedframe. Can this fit inside a bedframe, or is this made to substitute for a bedframe only?chrismm1978 on Nov 29, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
I would say it depends on the dimensions. The dimensions of this frame are 14 inches high x 60 inches wide x 80 inches long. Check to see if that fits inside your existing frame.overstockcustomercare1 on Nov 29, 2012
Q1 I want to attach to our headboard. Can this be done if I purchase the metal frame you sell? Also Q2 can mattress be put on a regular box spring?susielc on Nov 25, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Your headboard should attach to these frames. Our frames are designed to accommodate most headboards. You will have to purchase the brackets, as brackets do not come with the frame. I refer you to item # 14321157 for that. Also, a box spring is not really needed for this bed, if there is any question on whether you can use you mattress with a regular box spring.overstockcustomercare1 on Nov 26, 2012
You say a headboard cannot be affixed to the frame- I am assuming the frame does not have a pre-defined design to add a headboard. However, I have a question I am certain will help many like-minded creative people if answered correctly. Q: 1. Is the frame constructed in a way that a crafty person can create her/his custom fittings (ie., alignment, material density & area measurement ajacent to headboard base? In other words how "user friendly" is the construction and can the design be manipulated without losing intregity? I am not asking for advice, just the facts which will help me determine Yeay or Neay on the frame's potential. Q. 2. Also, please post the skeletal measurements~ height, width, depth of individual bars/rails plus, (metal material's circumference & density in mm or cm)? I only need measurements of the frame's end where headboard normally connects to framework(point to point including outer, upper, lower and center legs/mid bars etc.,) O'stock- Please try to answer Q entirely. I know I am asking for detailed information which means extra effort on your part and I appreciate your effort, greatly.chocolatemouse on Oct 28, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
