This bed frame is very high quality and exactly what I was looking for. It gives you the benefits of an adjustable bed system at a much lower price. I am using it with a memory foam mattress. It was extremely easy to put together. It took around 10 minutes to get it unboxed and assembled. It is very solid and has no squeaks. It is very supportive of the mattress. I highly recommend this product!

This bed turned out to be a good choice for us. Originally I wanted to purchase the queen size but for some reason the E king size was considerably less expensive so I went with that. It does take up more space side to side but not to the point that I cant move about my room comfortably, and actually it takes up less space in our room from the top to the bottom because our old bed had a foot board and headboard so without the need for that now, space at the top and bottom has really opened up. I was a bit concerned about the assembly and durability of this product but once I started putting it together it was very easy, I think I had it completely assembled in literally about 30 minutes! I also find it to be very durable and it does support quite a lot of weight. Not really necessary but I would have liked the pegs at the feet that you see in the picture along the sides as well to help reduce mattress sliding but the fact that they aren't there is not a deal breaker. We added the round caster cups to to each of the legs to help reduce carpet wear. All in all this is a great buy for us and one that I am very proud of, it really gives our bedroom a nice updated look. Now for the adjustability, it's wonderful! I could not afford the electronic type and I find this to be a comparable alternative. Yes you have to get out of bed or stay in bed and get on all fours to raise or lower the back but I am okay that. It has several positions that are very close together, not sure why the manufacturer choose that option as opposed to spacing the positions further apart. The adjustability can be somewhat like a ratcheting action when you are raising the back up, and to get it back down to it's fully flat position you have to raise it all the way up and then down in "one fell swoop" as they say. As far as squeakiness, it does make some noise sometimes but not as loud as a "traditional" bed would, and I would guess some of that might be weight dependent. And just FYI we use the 8 inch thick memory foam matresses. Overall, good buy!
Works wonderfullly and with the mattress sets we bought, some of the best sleep in years. Yes, it's manual but it's set to right angle and forget it. Very easy to put together and actually quit sturdy.
Be ready. Although Overstock is trying to obtain missing hardware for me, they cannot compensate for time lost going to Home Depot looking through bins to find replacement nuts and bolts and spacers. It took my son over a hour to find the little pieces and they still weren't quite right. He finally found something that would work for one of the pieces among hardware we had on hand. The bed is strong. It comes in two twins that are easier to handle and each just has to be unfolded and then braces swung down and fastened at each leg support section. There are four along the length of the bed, with two legs on each side. But there are no loose parts to getting the beds together. The spacers are used to put the beds together so one king mattress can go over both beds. The nuts and bolts are used to hold a plate (supplied) to the end of each twin bed so the mattress doesn't slide down when the bed head is raised. Everything works well when assembled. I would not want to raise and lower the head part to watch t.v. and then down to sleep. I keep mine raised slightly all the time. In order to raise the bar, you just slowly move it up. In order to lower it, though, you have to raise it up all the way and then lower it til the mattress support is at the right height. It moves easily though. Be aware also that, unlike electric beds, the foot of the bed does not adjust up and down. I use a pillow under my knees so it's not a problem for me. I ordered the Cool Max Comfort memory foam king mattress. Great. Will review it on its page.
Several purchasers remark that they had to " buy the brackets". Please explain. Are those the inverted "U" shaped pieces @ the foot of the bed per the photo? Are they not included w/ the bed frame? Hello shotgunbooty, thank you for your interest in the Posture Support 14" E King Adjustable Platform Frame. Yes, your king size mattress will work with this frame. Thank you for shopping with us, and have a great day!

Yes the king size mattress will work for this frame but you wont have the independence of both sides being able to move separately. I have this bed as well but I bought 2 twin size mattresses because I know that my hubby and I may not always want to be in the same sitting/sleeping position at the same time. Just something to keep in mind if this applies to you.tbsxxx on Aug 26, 2013
what thickness is best when using this type of frame? I have seen mattress 8inches to 14 inches thick. would this matter and effect the bending of the mattress when it the upright position? on Sep 22, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
This bed is designed for any flexible mattress. The thickness should not affect the bending of the mattress.overstockcustomercare1 on Sep 25, 2012
